Anyone pulling the nonsense of not politicizing the FEDERAL RESERVE, needs to be reminded, it's all a farce. Control the country's currency, you control it all. One great big happy family inside the DC beltway.

(Reuters) - A Senate committee backed Federal Reserve Governor Sarah Bloom Raskin on Wednesday to be the Treasury Department's No. 2 official, sending the nomination to the full Senate for a second time where final approval looks likely.
The Senate Finance Committee approved the nomination unanimously. It had already backed Raskin for the job in December, but the full chamber failed to vote on her nomination before it lapsed at the end of 2013.
It is not clear how soon a final vote will be held.
A former Maryland banking regulator, Raskin is expected to be a central figure in the roll-out of new Wall Street regulations aimed at preventing future financial crises.

Career
Raskin was nominated to the Federal Reserve Board by President Barack Obama, along with fellow nominees Dr. Janet Yellen, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, nominated to be the board's vice chairman, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology economics professor Peter A. Diamond.[SUP][2][/SUP]
Raskin and Yellen were unanimously confirmed as a Federal Reserve Board governor by the United States Senate on September 30, 2010.[SUP][3][/SUP] On October 4, 2010, both were sworn in by Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke.[SUP][4][/SUP]
Raskin previously worked as an associate at Arnold & Porter and as counsel for the U.S. Senate Banking Committee.[SUP][5][/SUP] Prior to serving as Commissioner, she was a Managing Director at the Promontory Financial Group.
On July 31, 2013, President Barack Obama announced that he would nominate Raskin to the second-in-command position of Deputy Secretary at the United States Department of the Treasury.[SUP][6][/SUP]
Raskin is married to Jamie Raskin, a law professor, Democratic Maryland state senator, and son of progressive activist Marcus Raskin, co-founder, with Richard Barnet, of the progressive think tank, the Institute for Policy Studies in Washington, DC. On March 1, 2006, during a Maryland State Senate hearing regarding same-sex marriage, Jamie Raskin, speaking as a constitutional law expert, told a lawmaker, "People place their hand on the Bible and swear to uphold the Constitution; they don't put their hand on the Constitution and swear to uphold the Bible."
