Noem, 51, fueled further vice-presidential conjecture by endorsing the former president at a rally Friday evening in her home state.

“Tonight, Mr. President, my message is clear: It is an honor to have you with us in South Dakota,” Noem said in front of a crowd of thousands in Rapid City. “You made America great again once. Let’s do it again.”

Trump took the stage, briefly hugging Noem and exchanging words. Then, for a quick second, a graphic reading “TRUMP NOEM 2024” flashed on the giant screen above the stage.

“Kristi is a warrior for American values,” Trump said, going on to compliment her handling of the coronavirus pandemic and her policies in South Dakota.

“I get endorsements, some good, some bad,” he said. “Some don’t mean anything. Hers means a lot.”

Yeah, two pretty clear enemies of liberty.

But Trump does think about himself and personal grievances. Maybe he will think twice when he realizes that Noem endorsed Rubio over himself.

Wasn't there some pro abortion bill that Noem signed a year ago that got her in a lot of trouble with conservatives?

For her sake hope not. Everyone that associates with Trump ends up getting used, blamed or arrested.

Look at his former cabinet, only 2 or 3 will endorse him. Look at his VP, running against him.

Trump is a user.

How is Noem an “enemy of liberty”?
Her federal record was consistently that of standing with the neocons. Even DeSantis had a significantly better record there. It's no surprise she endorsed Rubio who basically represents the opposite side of the GOP as Rand in the senate.

We're talking about someone who could be president if an 80 year old died - do we want more surveillance and foreign intervention? Because that is where she consistently was at.

So basically if you associate with Trump, you are either being used like Scarecrow Bolton or Giulliani, in which case you deserve it, or you're right over the target.

Given his vulnerabilities on COVID policy (which Noem's support might help to mitigate or cancel), Trump may be willing to regard things like the Rubio endorsement as water under the bridge (especially if Noem is willing to kiss his ass in the here-and-now).

If I remember living during COVID Lockdowns correctly, SD and Noem was one of the best places in this country to be. How many other states were as open for business as SD?

Rand Paul was right over the target. Trump ignored him. Massie was right over the target, when he prevented Pelosi from suspending the Constitution (with Trump on the phone telling him to shut up). Trump tried to drum him out of the GOP.

What is it you imagine he used 9iu11iani for, if not to torpedo his own election investigation?

Let's not be delusional, now. It isn't healthy.

She is fine. I don't care if she endorsed Rubio in 2015. This is 2023.
She is against the war in Ukraine also.
The woman has a good head on her shoulders and is not among the cabal.

Hopefully she has learned some things about the deep state in the past 4 years.

As a gross generalization, it often seems that many in the middle of the nation are 10-70 years out of touch. For example, Democrats who still think that the Democrats are in the FDR era, or Republicans that are stuck in the Reagan era. Noem seems to be one that may have been in the Reagan era and had no clue about neoconservatism. Back then, the neocons were “the crazies in the basement” of the Reagan Admin, not the ones running the show in both Parties.

After a couple of searches it’s apparent that Noem is a teocon. A Hannity type.

Has she learned anything in the past couple of years? Maybe.

I do believe South Dakota was the only state back then that never did a lockdown. Florida eventually opened up but that wasn't until the second half of 2020.

She apparently loves Corey Lewandowski almost as much as she loves Israel.

I doubt she'll be picked now.

Yeah she should be a liability now as VP. But in today's world who knows? Nobody quits after a scandal anymore. Trump has 4 indictments and is still in. Would it even matter if his running mate is having an affair?

If there was any consistency and principles in MAGAland, no, but there isn't.
