I 100% agree, the mere fact he is saying these things is a huge step in the right direction. (but my bet still stands....)

I can't think of a single instance where FEMA actually did some good and people thanked them.

Giving the idea that kind of social visibility and currency is indeed "something" - and not a small "something", either.

At present, it's probably the best that can be hoped for - but it's certainly not "nothing". Ratcheting the "Overton window" a detent or two in our direction never is, and the idea becomes that little bit less "extreme" than it was before.
