The survey found that Bush backers are torn between Rubio (19 percent), Kasich (16 percent), Cruz (12 percent) and Trump (11 percent). Kasich fans are torn between Rubio (24 percent), Trump (16 percent) and Cruz (10 percent). Carson supporters split between Cruz (24 percent), Trump (22 percent) and Rubio (16 percent).

Tough guy Dubya has some crossover voters that also like tough guy Trump.
 
Getting inside the head of the average GOP voter is a messy job. Despite being in a family made up primarily of dyed-in-the-wool Republicans that trend towards Neocon ideology on foreign policy, I still don't fully know how to break down their primary voting habits in terms of logic, though their general election voting habits are pretty easy to get.
 
They're not considering anti-Bush supporters who go from Trump to one of the other remaining candidates, now that they know Bush isn't going to be forced on them.
