Saw it in today's newspaper. Here is the article as it is posted on their website. Congratulations to Trevor and thanks for all the hard work!:D

Massively important line from that article:

"If it [Nov. 30th fundraising drive] fails, Paul runs the risk of being dismissed as a one-hit wonder, especially since his online popularity has barely surfaced in the polls."

Yeah, that's just wonderful.

Somebody who knows how to contact Trevor needs to tell him to FIX THE FUCKING TEAPARTY SITE YESTERDAY!

Thats what I was afraid of. And we are not on track for the 2.5. More like $500K - $1M. I will double my amount for today, hope others will too.

Exactly! Prove them wrong! Digg it!

Trevor spent much of the day yesterday talking to the press. For those who are criticizing him for the TeaParty07.com site problems, please keep in mind that he put forth a TREMENDOUS effort getting the word out about RudysReadingList and the Tea Party.

The results are showing: the press has had several articles like this now, as a direct result.

We NEED to reach our $12 million goal today.

We're almost within $10,000 of reaching $10 million, and it's not even 11:00 am, EST. WE CAN DO THIS.

I really don't think so. It's possible that some in the media might point to the failure, but it's awfully hard to forget the $4.3 million raised just a few weeks ago. And it will be even harder for the media to keep talking about this 'failure' after we bring in an astounding amount on December 16th.

In fact, if some media talking heads to decide to talk about our 'failure' today, it will just bring up more conversation about Nov 5th, and more people will hear about Dr. Paul.

"Oh noes! He only raised $400k in 1 day, which is a lot less than the record-breaking $4.3 million he raised earlier in the month!!" :D

What on earth entered his brain to say this!!! If we do not raise this much, the campaign will look like one hit wonders, just like the article said.

"Lyman is ready to do it again, with a more modest goal of $2.5 million by midnight Friday. He started soliciting pledges only nine days ago, and this time, the national media is paying attention; he's juggling interviews this week from The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune and The Christian Science Monitor."

If it fails, Paul runs the risk of being dismissed as a one-hit wonder, especially since his online popularity has barely surfaced in the polls. On the eve of Wednesday's debate in St. Petersburg, his support in Florida was smaller than the CNN poll's margin of error.

We're going to hit $10 million within the hour... that goal is a done deal.

NOW, it's time to pull out everything in our arsenal and go for the $12 million.

For those who missed Trevor's post on the sub-forum:

The truth is we have an incredible opportunity to get major press for Ron Paul today. Anyone who tells you any differently is 100% wrong.

http://www.miamiherald.com/campaign08/story/326421.html

disclaimer: I do apologize that they give me the credit. This is not how I speak about things with them. This is a group effort and my part was and has been small in all of this. If I ever get chance to get them to tell it like it is I'll make sure people know that. For some reason they like to pin it all on one person. It's a shame but bottom line is it gets Ron Paul in the news.. so it is what it is.

Additionally I’ve been in touch with ABCNews, CBSNews, Politico, Newsweek, LATimes, Chicago Tribune, Houston Chronical, MTVNews, VH1News and more. I've been promoting both drives. I tell them we want to break $12 million today and then have a huge day for the Tea Party.

They are watching and because they are we have a great opportunity to keep Ron Paul in the news all month long. If we don't do well today they will try to play Paul as a "one-hit wonder". Don't let that happen!

and don't believe ANYONE on these boards who says we aren't going to get major news for this. You can already see they don't know what they are talking about. Don't let them take this opportunity away from you!

We're also in USA Today.. and the drive has just barely started!!

how do you guys know he said it?
it's not in quotes. neither quoted indirectly.

Well...I donated a few hundred just after midnight...here goes a couple hundred more...either way I'll be maxed before I am finished...;)

.

The goal wasn't to reach 10 million for the quarter. Trevor took it upon himself to say the goal was 2.5 million in donations for the day. That is far from a done deal.

Trevor great job but 2.5 mil is a tough nut we have to pick it pick BIGTIME to hit that number!!

Now these clowns in the media will base it on today's performance? Sure hope not but that is the gist I got so DONATE PEOPLE we cannot fail!

Trevor you DA MAN!

A lot of good that does if people go to the website and it doesn't work.

Liberty, sometimes we just have to PUT OUR NECK on the line and GO FOR IT.

We haven't gotten this far in the campaign by being TIMID.

NOW IS THE TIME... TODAY IS THE DAY... WE MUST DO MORE NOW, not later...

For goodness sake, our forefathers RISKED their LIVES, FORTUNES and SACRED HONOR for this country, and here we are today, worried about some idiot who might call us a "one hit wonder". Who gives a crap about what they SAY. What COUNTS is what we DO.

Nothing personal against you, I just want us to put forth the effort to do this today.

We're already got the $10 million, WE CANNOT STOP THERE - it is only 11:00 AM EST, and we've got a whole DAY ahead of us for this SUPER opportunity.

.

do you remember anyone reporting the failed goal of 10 million on nov 5th?

No, but we set a record that day. It is a very different situation to state that we will bring in a number less than that and miss it badly.
