Transgender Misty Snow is Mike Lee's Opponent

Utah voters picked a historic, and largely unknown, Democratic candidate to challenge Sen. Mike Lee this November.

Throughout the primary, the 30-year-old Salt Lake City resident has given scant attention to her potentially historic status. She instead has campaigned on a progressive platform and promised to aggressively challenge Lee, whom she has repeatedly called "loathsome."

Seems to be another Alvin Greene moment, as another weird nobody slips through the cracks in a Democratic Party Senate primary in a state where they have zero hope.

The PC language used when discussing weirdos is enough to piss me off....

There is lots of talk about a pair of guys named "Misty" running for office and their claim to fame appears to be acting like women.

I'm not really interested enough to read either of their stances on policy but it's quite telling that "Teh Newz" trumpets their proclivities instead of their policies...

Primary voters in Utah and Colorado selected transgender women to run for spots in Congress next fall — a first in major-party American political history.
Misty K. Snow will run against tea party favorite Sen. Mike Lee in Utah this November, while Misty Plowright will challenge Rep. Doug Lamborn in Colorado. Both women will face uphill battles this fall: Snow in Republican-heavy Utah and Plowright in Colorado’s 5th congressional district, the most conservative in the state.

Snow, a 30-year-old grocery store clerk from Salt Lake City, beat her primary opponent by nearly 20 percentage points. She ran to the left of her more moderate opponent Jonathan Swinton, criticizing him for supporting limitations on abortion rights, according to a Salt Lake Tribune report.
Plowright, who is 33 years old and works in IT, was similarly successful in her district, located near Colorado Springs, Colorado. She earned the Democratic nomination there by winning more than 13,000 votes while her opponent earned just over 9,600.

So "transgender woman" means "was a man now identifies as a woman", right?

Not trying to be funny, but I'm confused at how I'm supposed to identify what gender the person identifies as. We really need the designation to be explicit somehow. How else do I know if looking at this guys picture he isn't a woman trying to be a man or a man trying to be a woman? Because some transgenders don't dress different, or are in various stages of transformation.

Mike Lee will win, so this is probably more of a protest, in your face candidate from the Democrats. Likely it was also an indicator that Mormons have lost control of the left in "their" state. Probably a result of immigration from California and other leftist populations.
