Traitors In Congress, See Who Voted For The 'Thought Crime' Bill (H.R. 1955)

just about everyone voted yea, except for a few republicans and dennis kucinich, ron paul wasnt there he must have been busy.

Wow, this is now law? The government keeps passing laws increasing its own power faster than any citizen could possibly keep up with them.

The state is spiraling out of control. Once states begin that process they take on a logic of their own and great destruction is the end result.

It still has to pass through the Senate, which it probably will. And we all know the emperor, err, bush, will sign it into law.

I'm

I'm pretty sure Ron knew his vote would have only been symbolic.

Jeff Flake voted against it, a Republican, I remember seeing him on a site that also was pro-Ron Paul. Another constitutionalist? He's young from the picture I saw.

Dunc H was a no-show but Tom Tanc voted for it.

Sickening.

i think that its time we all alter our way of thinking...i mean, most people here preach about being part of a revolution...which, makes u a revolutionary..a patriot perhaps???

This isn't law...it's in violation of the supreme law of the land.....the only way its law is if you believe it...

Wasn't this the day Ron Paul had to be in New Hampshire to sign up for the ballot?

YEah whats up with Tancredo??

Here, I've made it easier...

Twenty-two representatives (including Dr. Paul) are on record as not having voted for whatever reason. 404 voted in favor.
These six are the only "nay" votes.

Nay AZ-6 Flake, Jeff [R]
Nay CA-46 Rohrabacher, Dana [R]
Nay HI-1 Abercrombie, Neil [D]
Nay IL-12 Costello, Jerry [D]
Nay OH-10 Kucinich, Dennis [D]
Nay TN-2 Duncan, John [R]

[Perhaps flowers are in order?]

I'm proud to say that John Duncan (my Representative) voted against it. :D

Of course, it doesn't really make up for all of the other criminals.... :(

It's not a thought crime bill...

`(2) VIOLENT RADICALIZATION- The term `violent radicalization' means the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change.

(1) The development and implementation of methods and processes that can be utilized to prevent violent radicalization, homegrown terrorism, and ideologically based violence in the United States is critical to combating domestic terrorism.

Thought crime.

If it were a thought crime bill it would make those thoughts illegal.

It doesn't, so it's not a thought crime bill.

... it's a bill that establishes a federal study of homegrown terrorism and resulting violence, and developing ways to prevent it...

I'm beginning to wonder about some of you guys. Yes, this a waste of money and arguably unconstitutional. This has nothing to do with making your thoughts of violent uprising a crime...

Your naivete is charming.

All these bills that are apaprently essential to combat terrorism.

Since 9/11 there haven't been any new terrorist attacks... but apparently it's essential.

I think of bin laden plotting against the USA, with 9/11 he killed thousands of Americans but Bush's response has been even worse than that.

America is crashing to its knees no longer the world power it used to be, overstretched and about to go bankrupt, the people losing what little civil liberties they have left.

The terrorists have won, but not because of their own actions but because of the people not doing anything to stop this crazy goverment.

If you give up liberty for safety you deserve niether :(

Bin Laden has been given everything he could possibly have hoped for and more. A tiny band of pissed off muslims have done all this armed just with knives. Amazing and tragic.
