The Five!

Philip Eby was one of our Tampa Alternates from 2012. He is now running for Texas State House District 58, which includes all of Johnson and Bosque Counties in Central Texas. He is heading into the May 27 Republican Runoff election with a strong lead, having come in first place in a 4 way primary with 40.14%. Opponent Dewayne Burns trailed with 30.38%.

Philip has now been endorsed by State Reps: Jonathan Stickland HD 92, David Simpson HD 7, Giovanni Capriglione HD 98, Mat Schaefer HD 6, and Matt Krause HD 93. The five House members found to have the most pro Limited Government voting records by a Rice University study. Simpson and Stickland in particular are solid Liberty guys. Capriglione introduced the Gold Depository bill.

Stickland, Schaeffer, and Simpson Yes.

Interesting, I know Schaeffer votes pretty good. Are you saying he is pretty much a pure liberty guy?

Giovanni and Krause? No, but big allies.
Okay, so they are not 'us' but is there anyone in the House that you would say is more liberty minded than them?
From the votes I have seen, they are pretty much in line with the other 3. But I have not seen votes on all of the important issues.

I think it will be pretty hard to argue that there is someone more liberty-minded in the Texas House than Krause other than The S's based on my research. That's still debatable too.
