Please join Governor Gary Johnson, the Libertarian Party presidential nominee, for an online town hall tonight, 9 p.m. EDT/ 6 p.m. PDT.

With the Republican National Convention behind them, many supporters of Congressman Ron Paul are expressing great interest in Gov. Johnson's campaign for President. Governor Johnson is hosting this on-line town hall to give those supporters an opportunity to ask questions, discuss the issues, and talk about the campaign in the weeks ahead.

Please join Gov. Johnson for this important conversation!

This town hall will be featured on Vokle.com. To ask questions via video or text, simply sign into your Facebook account or sign up for a Vokle account. If you just want to watch the town hall, go to www.GaryJohnson2012.com.

Q) Gov Johnson, for the long term good of the LP, all third parties and of the country, will you and/or your VP please step down and let Dr. Paul take the LP nomination? We have a really good chance to get into debates and unite the LP and RP movements for a possible win if you do!

Someone please ask him to clarify his positions on "Humanitarian Wars", and also ask if his views on some of the people that influenced his libertarian views have changed since the economic policy journal interview, or if he can expand on some of those answers. If you do get a chance to ask those questions please let us all know what he says.

He already answered that question five days ago:

I hadn't seen that. Thanks!

Still, there was the letter from the chair of the LP that said they had looked into it and what it would take. Some states would be lost, but we'd be eligible for about 2/3 of the electoral votes, and in some of the lost states we could do a write in campaign.

It's unlikely we would win, though there is a chance!, but I thought the main, short term goal was to get into the debates. GJ certainly isn't going to win. He's polling at like 1%. No reason not to punt!

We loose exposure to our ideas if we don't.
We gain more exposure, and an easier time for the LP to get on the ballot and more legitimacy for them - hence votes in future elections. Plus, these guys are so seriously bad, that having Dr. Paul up there ripping them apart, just might win us the presidency.

There is just no downside to this.

He's justifying wanting to go after Kony. Doesn't want to "allow another holocaust to happen".

On the positive side:
He says he wants to end the fed
Wants to abolish income and corporate tax and instate a fair tax (not sure that's a positive)
Wants to abolish NDAA and HR 347
