Today is the anniversay. June 8, 1967.

The highest decorated crew in US naval history for bravery in combat, the crew of the USS Liberty, has had its official website blocked by some ISPs with the message: "This website is blocked by your network operator." The reason given is "Hate and Racism."

On June 8, 1967, after 7 hours of close reconnaissance by Israeli aircraft, with the American flag flying and the American crew sunning itself on the deck, unmarked Israeli warplanes suddenly came over the horizon and poured fire onto the ship for over an hour, rockets, cannon rounds, napalm, and torpedoes. An Israeli torpedo boat then methodically machine-gunned the life-boats.

The highly decorated crew, which includes a Medal of Honor winner, the ship's captain, maintains to this day that the Israeli attackers knew well that the ship was American, and intended to sink the ship and kill all onboard. One possible motive which has been put forth was that it was designed to be blamed on Egypt, in order to draw the US into the Six Day War with that country.

Israel Anti-Boycott Act

This bill declares that Congress: (1) opposes the United Nations Human Rights Council resolution of March 24, 2016, which urges countries to pressure companies to divest from, or break contracts with, Israel; and (2) encourages full implementation of the United States-Israel Strategic Partnership Act of 2014 through enhanced, governmentwide, coordinated U.S.-Israel scientific and technological cooperation in civilian areas.

The bill amends the Export Administration Act of 1979 to declare that it shall be U.S. policy to oppose:

requests by foreign countries to impose restrictive practices or boycotts against other countries friendly to the United States or against U.S. persons; and
restrictive trade practices or boycotts fostered or imposed by an international governmental organization, or requests to impose such practices or boycotts, against Israel.

The bill prohibits any U.S. person engaged interstate or foreign commerce from supporting:

any boycott fostered or imposed by any international governmental organization against Israel or any request by any international governmental organization to impose such a boycott.

The bill amends the Export-Import Bank Act of 1945 to include as a reason for the Export-Import Bank to deny credit applications for the export of goods and services between the United States and foreign countries, opposition to policies and actions that are politically motivated and are intended to penalize or otherwise limit commercial relations specifically with citizens or residents of Israel, entities organized under the laws of Israel, or the government of Israel.

I know there are a lot of reasons Americas enemies would want to dissolve our alliance with Israel. I know there are a lot of conspiracies out there like they caused 9/11 but made it look like it was Saudi Arabia, and this one where they sunk the USS liberty. I've also seen one that suggest they have Alien technnology that they share with us. Another I saw was that they did attack us on multiple occasions but only because we ordered them to do it, and that we control Israel as a way of legitimizing our footprint in the middle east and that's what the whole project for a new American Continent was about, taking over all of the countries in the middle east and planting our flag there eventually, but by making them fight eachother more so that we don't have to do all the work we start all of these conflicts. That somehow we "won" Israel after we won WW2.

In college I heard nor read absolutely nothing about this. Unless you have BBC or the Al Jazeera channel on cable you never would have seen the excellent documentaries.
