From article written after Rand's 600 student event yesterday...

“It’s hard to get [college students] to answer their phones for polls, so some of our polling data may be that we attract … a younger audience that doesn’t show up on the polls, but there is strength then and there is strength in numbers,” Paul said. “We’re turning out more kids on campus than any other campaign and ... we’re going to work hard to get them registered and then we’re going to go pick them up.”

It was also confirmed that we have 350 chapters in all 50 states as well.

A lot of social and school/career activities going on for that demographic - the 19-29 yr olds where Rand does well (the results behind the polls when provided)
whether the new voter is in college or out in the work force - internships - apprenticeships, etc. getting their lives going on and learning
the civics responsibilities of life in these United States.

Not surprised they are probably already ON the phone/device when the unsolicited poll call comes in, so underrepresented for now.

Some that are in the social group get the others interested in politics along the next few months and by next spring semester,
compared to the older demographics sitting alone watching Faux News nightly to be told by the media what to think and how to vote.

Long term for the 'cause of liberty it's all good.

Rand might be seeing a lot of college football this fall . . . sure wish there was a Goodyear-sized blimp over the big games though.
Where's the next tailgate event ?

To put this into perspective.. I am told Cruz is in 2nd place in regards to campus chapters... With 25.... Yea.

What does a 'college chapter' consist of? Is it a group of students or just one student starting a chapter of their own? Do we know how many students are actually mobilized for Randal?

I'm sure somebody does. Are you sure it would be wise to tell the competition some hard numbers?

We might be wise to keep one or two secrets...

That is the important question, but I doubt anyone outside the campaign would know that. I keep hearing about how great SFR is but where are they? It would be encouraging to be able to point to some campus news/events where they are mentioned. The nice showings at Rand's rallies are nice, but it would be even nicer to see them truly plugged in and doing things. Can we get some of them here on RPF?

As someone who is in SFR, I can say that we are definitely not sitting idly by... We are currently in the planning/recruitment phase. It's super organized.

Even if you don't have twitter (i don't) check out this twitter feed. They are doing debate parties, they help organize these rallies, they are setting up tables and taking sign ups with official rand gear. In Minnesota, they were the only official campaign organization at the state fair and they took thousands of signs ups. I don't want to exaggerate but they are going to be a force. Best campaign tactic by far for Rand.

A college chapter is not easy to start. They normally interview several people for the job of president or leader. You are in direct communication with the campaign. In the big colleges, I would expect hundreds to be apart of the chapters. 600 people are showing up for rallies and they are signing them up at USC, Iowa, Nevada. I expect this force to give Rand wins at caucuses...

They are collecting numbers and addresses. They are registering them and they are organizing transportation which I think is crazy exciting. This is so legit guys.

Oh c'mon, you know exactly what they are thinking when somebody calls them on their cell phone..

lol... who is calling me right now, is it my parents again?? lol... wtf area code is 426?? Totally not answering that..

That's exactly how it happens!

Yup, I do it myself. I almost never answer the phone if I don't know who is calling. If it's important, whoever it is will leave a message or send a text, and then I can receive their message and decide for myself whether it merits a response, rather than having the possibility of the worst possible thing happening which is to have to waste time talking to someone I don't want to talk to. Proud to be a millennial

Students are really getting into this, example Oklahoma State student...
