In the 14th district, Ron Paul has always done a great job of highlighting his family in his campaigns and is well known as a good family man. I am a bit surprised that, to date, the campaign has not brought out the family aspect more with him. Especially considering the improprieties on behalf of other candidates, and how jaded the electorate is with the "character" of politicians generally.
No, I'm not suggesting we go after other candidates' personal lives. I would be against it. However, there is nothing at all wrong with pointing out Ron's personal character via how he and Carol have raised a large family successfully. That they have been married for 54 years.
The campaign needs to make an ad with Carol Paul talking about their family and about how much Ron cares about his message, with her emphasizing it in her own way. More than anyone, she can deliver a single, necessary point that will matter hugely to Christian conservatives and people who care about families: that Ron Paul is a good man.
Campaign, I know you see these posts. I know you made the cookbook, thank you! Great idea.
But just do us a favor here: make a television ad with Carol.
Please, just do it.
