While you are being distracted with nose.

Thousands of Fort Drum soldiers prepare for deployment to Middle East.

This deployment to the Middle East comes after a unnamed Pentagon official had stated.

The US is considering military options to address “Russian aggression in the skies over Syria,”

US to send F-16 fighter jets to Gulf amid Iran shipping tensions

US defence official said Washington is considering options amid growing aggression by Russian planes in skies over Syria.

“This isn’t training, this isn’t assure and deter, this is a combat deployment,” Col. Braman expressed. “The Commandos will be the only brigade in the army deployed in this capacity.”

What is more concerning is what Col. Braman expressed this isn't assure and deter, its combat deployment.

Is the Biden admin this desperate to start a war with Russia/Iran in the middle east?

Assuming these troops are actually going to the ME and not Ukraine, its no coincidence that Izrael has been bombing Syria and now this.

The US strategic oil reserve is empty, the Kurds and US are appropriating the oil. Remember what the last US president said about the oil? I vaguely remember something about being there to take the oil.

The US cant be in every conflict/war.
They will be stretched thin, thus becoming mission creep and close to a possible conflict with China.

That's actually a very upsetting article to anyone with a sane mind.

Col. Braman makes no bones about this deployment being a "combat operation" (the only of its kind currently)

I suppose the only hope is the operation is focused on "Iranian proxies" and not actual Syrian Army forces.

Although Russia doesn't have escalatory supremacy in the Middle East, they will defend Syria if it gets out of hand.

I find it both depressing and amazing how there are still Americans ready to kill and die to steal Syrian oil and farmlands,
and they can walk away from that speech with a clear conscience.

They wanted a fight with Russia in Syria. Trump's reluctance for that fight is what got the whole Russian collusion thing going. Fighting Russia in Syria while the bear is busy in Ukraine is the smart thing for the MIC at this time.
