I filmed this video a couple of hours before the "Rand Problem"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEKy9vFNvjk

I say, let's keep pushing, even if RP admits defeat in another "Jesse Benton email" in the morning, we still go to the convention and make Ron take the job, if he doesn't get the nomination, I say we push for a Judge Napolitano ticket in 2016!!! (or someone like him) Rand (for me) is off the table as a leader as of today!

Just my thoughts!!
What are yours?

Didn't you read the email that Ron Paul sent out yesterday or the day before?

Rand can say what he wants.. ill still vote for Rand in 2016 if hes running.

Rand has lost any sort of support I may have had for him. I'm going to throw my weight behind Gary Johnson now, and hope our patriots can pull of a miracle in Tampa. If they don't, I'd much prefer to see Johnson get into the debates. We need someone to call out Obamney.

sorry rand, but today you lost my vote and any dollars I may have thrown at a potential 2016 campaign. Stop playing politics, your father never did. You don't have what he has.

Agreed. Unless something amazing happens and this is part of a wider, effective plan or serious strategy - which i doubt, i will vote Gary Johnson this time around and never donate to a Rand Paul campaign.

No kidding. Can we stage a 'money-bomb refund' drive - even if symbolic? We could present him with the bill.

What happened today?

Rand publicly threw his support behind Mitt Romney.
I think he's trying to stay in the good graces of the GOP for a 2016 run and either he decided on his own that was necessary or they told him it had to happen but I think it's a bad move. I like Rand but how can I trust him after a move like this?

He didn't just throw his support behind Romney, he endorsed him and said he would campaign for him.

He is a much better politician than his dad.

edited for clarity - that is not meant as a compliment.

You got that right. One of the MAIN reasons I trust Dr. Paul is because he is NOT the play along to get along type. Rand made a big mistake today. I will not be able to support him in 16.

Agreed, I liked alot of what Ron said, but what cemeted it for me is when I saw that Youtube clip (I wasn't aware of Ron in '08) where he refused to endores McCain, that's when I really knew he was for real. Some can say this is Rand just going "stealth", and heck, I'm one of the people who was even saying Ron could bend on a few things like getting better fitting suits, debate coaches and what not, but there is a line you just don't cross and never compromise on, Rand crossed it by doing this.

I take the long view, which is easy since I am committed to liberty for life!:)

IMO:

In November 2012 we will see the re-election of Barry Obama. The Republican nominee and his vp will follow McCain/Palin into historical irrelevance. Committed liberty lovers will not only survive during the second term of Barry but thrive, gaining full control of the G.O.P. apparatus. The dying dinosaur media will report that the Pauls are GOP faithful who supported the party in 2012 for the next four year or at least they will not be able to blame the Pauls or the rEVOLution for the defeat of Romney/ (Insert Neo-Con Trotskyite Communist here.)

This will set Rand up for the 2016 election which will be all but a lock for the Republican Party.

In the meantime it is up to those who can to cast light upon the darkness.

Why are people still pretending that Rand didn't say a thousand times that he would support the eventual Republican nominee?

Has Ron Paul endorsed Romney? Nope. Then I don't care who else does. I'm hoping the liberty movement can produce another decent candidate for 2016.
Though I'm extremely pissed at Rand right now for endorsing everything we're fighting against, he better show some benefit our movement got from it. If he can, then I would consider him in 2016. If absolutely nothing positive for us comes from it, then I'm done with him.

You need to watch this and learn:
Jack Hunter said (more or less) It's alright to compromise politically to advance PRINCIPLE, it's never okay to compromise principle to gain politically. That's what Rand is doing -- compromising politically to gain in PRINCIPLE! Smart! Rewarding! and great things are to come! Get with the program -- the REVOLUTION continues! --stop trying to tear down an honest man of PRINCIPLE!
