Romney is kicking into top gear in Maine now that he was drubbed on Tuesday. He has a huge longstanding network amongst the political establishment and will be in Maine himself starting tomorrow. Maine is going to be HARD TO WIN and we need
EVERY HAND ON DECK

What you can do:

1. Facebook ads - people can get a free facebook credit for $50 by following the intsructions here: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showth...Facebook-Advertising-Credit-FREE-Ron-Paul-ads! It is EASY. It takes MOMENTS to get the coupon!! I have my coupon and am ready to go when my ad is complete.

Facebook ads can be TARGETED by age and inside the very cities where we need them to maximize the value of the $50 credit, because each click costs money against the credit. The following LINK can be attached to Ron's website where caucus information can be found: www.RonPaul2012.com/caucus

While there are many caucuses, the big ones where when Romney hopes to wipe out any gains Ron Paul has made are on the 'Super Saturday' in the following counties and cities:

County / Town or City
Cumberland / Portland*
York / Sanford
Oxford / Fryburg AND Denmark
Washington / East Machias
Androscoggin / Lewiston
Hancock / Ellsworth AND Bucksworth

* Portland is huge, which is why Romney is speaking there Friday hoping to wipe out and swamp any gains Ron has made in more rural caucuses

ADS COULD BE VERY SIMPLE -

Caucus for RON PAUL Saturday, FEBRUARY 11, 2012
NOW IS THE TIME -CAUCUS FOR HONEST GOVERNMENT
Click for Details
and attach link: www.RonPaul2012.com/caucus

I have heard if you add a picture it needs to be little and you need to have it ready when you go to do your ad, so you get that and your coupon code and do your ad. I will update this with the picture size requirement when I find that thread. PLEASE POST IDEAS/GRAPHICS/PICS for ads below. I am no designer, I freely admit! We need everyone's ideas and talents! But we don't want to spend a lot on a lot of text, keep that for newspaper ads, and THAT will depend on chip ins if people are willing to do that. The facebook ads, you can get a $50 credit for free. NOTE the instructions in the link that if you want it capped at that you have to put in the amount as lifetime cap. The instructions are in the link: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showth...Facebook-Advertising-Credit-FREE-Ron-Paul-ads!

2. NEWSPAPER ADS (Could run chip ins for this)
Again, the towns needed are above but we need people to find out if the papers are weekly or daily and if ads would actually get in in time to help. If people will say if they would be willing to chip in for this, others could do that footwork. A link to check this information is at ----> www.usnpl.com/menews.php

3. Phone from Home:

!!!ALL HANDS ON DECK!!!

I agree 100%. I think the newspaper ad idea is especially good if we can find the paper(s) that serve the few remaining towns with caucuses.

Here's the Facebook ads I've been running for the last 2 weeks or so if anyone is looking for ideas:

RPMaine1.JPGRPMaine2.JPGRPMaine3.JPGRPMaine4.JPGRPMaine5.JPG

This ad targets 4,580 users:
  • who live in the United States
  • who live in Maine
  • who like #Campaign for Liberty, #Libertarian Party (United States), #Rand Paul or #Ron Paul
Suggested Bid: $0.50 - 0.99 USD

These all target the above categories with the Carol pic targeted to specifically females and the one with the girls in the water targeted to males. The 2 with the best click through rates are the girls in the water and the close up of Dr. Paul's face. I really probably should change up the text. And if several people are running different ones that should help greatly with saturation.

Stats so far:

For today we have a rush need to GOTV for the caucus though and while ads are all fantastic, what I'm suggesting is to maximize their funding by limiting them to the towns where the caucuses are Saturday, just as this particular rush project.

Yours are fantastic, but for this thread I'm just talking about GOTV.

but can you post just the picture of Ron you've been using so we have one the right size? I understand if it isn't the right size it won't go through, and it would be wonderful if your picture is already the approved size.

why target ron paul supporters... i know i get ALOT of wasted ads on facebook ... TARGET OTHER PEOPLE'S SUPPORTERS!

GOTV.

Our #1 issue isn't that we don't have enough supporters ID'd. In Nevada if everyone would have shown up we would have won in a landslide. These are reminders of how important it is to get off our asses and vote.

My question is does anyone know how we do with young males in Maine? I know we beat Romney in basically every state except South Carolina in that demographic. If that's true we could run some targeting all males aged 17-35 in the towns yet to caucus. Myself and a few others did that in Minnesota and I think it really made a difference.

And yes, please target the towns that have yet to vote if possible. I know facebook sometimes limits the ads if the audience isn't big enough, so you may have to include a couple of surrounding towns if that happens.

Personally, I am NOT targeting Ron Paul supporters, I will be targeting people over 18 in those cities, but Portland first. Unfortunately, I will be in and out today, so I am hoping people can keep this bumped!

thank you! I'm going to do Portland using this picture, right now!

Firefox wasn't very friendly with me making the ad(wouldn't show the button to click browse to add picture, never showed a preview of ad), went on IE and made the ad in no time with out a problem.

The only thing I will caution from 2008 is that we don't want to turn out non Paul supporters. Just something to keep in mind. We're not trying to increase turnout but Paul turnout.

OK, I just put up my add! I have no idea where to find it to show it to you but it used the Ron Paul picture, is targeted at those over 18 in Portland, Maine, and says basically:

Caucus for Ron Paul 2/11
Click for Caucus details
NOW IS THE TIME TO CAUCUS FOR HONEST GOVERNMENT
NOW IS THE TIME TO CAUCUS FOR RON PAUL
SATURDAY FEBRUARY 11

I have to get some things out, but if others do them you might target them differently or take a different city first or something to maximize exposure. I just really had to get something out quick because I will be unavailable for a while.

Post what you do, and keep this bumped!!

I might be paranoid but this one makes me kinda nervous. It's targeting older people, pushing electability and reminding them to vote. I'm honestly worried it might get more Romney supporters out to vote than Paul.

that's a good point but I wanted to get progressives on the NDAA and Patriot Act, too. Independents.

Ideas? I did make it a very Ron Paul specific message
