The Roof Caves In On Trump As Clinton Leads In N. Carolina, Virginia, Ohio, and Florida

A new swing state poll shows Hillary Clinton comfortably leading Donald Trump in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and Virginia.

The Wall Street Journal reported on the latest Wall Street Journal/Marist/NBC News swing state poll:

Mrs. Clinton led Mr. Trump 44% to 37% among registered voters in Florida, the nation’s largest swing state. She had 44% to Mr. Trump’s 35% in Virginia, and was ahead 43% to 35% in Colorado.

President Barack Obama won all three states in his two White House campaigns. In North Carolina, which Mr. Obama narrowly lost in 2012, Mrs. Clinton had 44% to 38% for Mr. Trump.

None of these states are very close, as this was the third swing state poll in the last two days to show Clinton leading Trump in states that are expected to be up for grabs in November. The WSJ/NBC/Marist poll results also lend credibility to the thought that the Quinnipiac University polls that showed Trump either leading or tied with Clinton in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida were outliers.

The consensus among the polls is that Hillary Clinton is currently leading. It is July so these results will change, but the second consistency in all the polling is Trump’s inability to get above 40%. Trump isn’t expanding his base. The same people who supported him in the Republican primary are sticking with him in the general election.

Hillary Clinton’s numbers fluctuate with the news cycle, but Donald Trump consistently stays at the same low level. As he heads to Cleveland for the convention, the reality remains that Donald Trump still has no clear path to the White House.

Swing states are swing states because they are often close and could go either way. They will likely move back and forth a few times before the election. Republican convention next week will give Trump a bump. Same will happen with the Democratic convention.

Going to be very interesting to see what Utah does as no one can stand either candidates.

4 month and NBC always gives Trump's horrible numbers. It is like republicans quoting Rasmussen.

Here's another indication of how skewed left or Democratic NBC/WSJ/Marist polls are:

New Poll: Donald Trump Gets 0% support from Black voters

(NBC News)- Zero.

That's the percentage of African-American voters who picked Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton in the battleground states of Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist polls.

In Ohio, where the two candidates are tied, 11 percent of the 848 registered voters in the poll were African American, and they broke for Clinton, 88 percent to 0 percent.

And in Pennsylvania, where Clinton was ahead by nine points, 10 percent of the 829 voters are African American, and they went for Clinton, 91 percent to 0 percent.
The other NBC/WSJ/Marist poll, of Iowa, didn't have enough African-American voters for a statistically significant sample.

Among white voters in Ohio, Trump bested Clinton by 10 points, 43 percent to 33 percent.

But in Pennsylvania, they were tied here, 40 percent to 40 percent.

The NBC/WSJ/Marist polls were conducted July 5-10 of 822 registered voters in Iowa (which has a margin of error of plus-minus 3.4 percentage points), 848 registered voters in Ohio (plus-minus 3.4 percentage points) and 829 registered voters in Pennsylvania (plus-minus 3.4 percentage points). Percentages don't always add up to 100 because None, Other, and Unsure were possible answers.
