The Ron Paul Blimp needs $70,000 more by January 18th or it will be grounded.

Lets start thinking what can be done with the 30,000.

$30,000 will pay for at least 700 30 second TV spots in SC!!!! Or a few days of flying over cornfields and some local news station running a 1 minute report between the old lady who lost her can and a crack bust.

I'll take the 700 TV spots, thank you.

Agreed, TV ads to let people know what RP says and stands for, not just a name in the sky. No offense blimp people, but his message needs to be heard, and will be seen by tons and tons of people through the TV. Will be donating more to the campaign.

the blimp was great for exposure when RP was more unknown, now it's about getting the message out.

I donated to the blimp before the first primary, I am reserving the rest of my money for the official campaign on the 21st, and for local radio, tv, and PRINT ads. (very effective and cheap)

That is just my personal opinion. Good luck and thank you for the hard work on the Blimp.

blimp was a great idea.. getting it flying simply for a week is incredible. For a month or two it's pretty excessive. Trevor deserves all the kudos he could get, but those still pushing the blimp should realize the value of TV spots. Airtime isn't exactly a forte for Paul.

+1 ... QFT

It's not "our" money to decide what should be done with it.

Oh yes it is. Unless the blimp company recently changed the contract, air time not flown might be substituted for some other type of advertising. It is our - meaning who-ever bought it, time, and that 30,000 might also be returned.

Here is the total that Ron Paul's campaign has raised since New Years as of this moment:

$870,000. That isn't much right now :(

Another reason to focus on new Donors with broad advertising
rather than a local flying Blimp that costs 100 times as much to
reach the same amount of readers. (Taking the amount of provided
Information per media into account)
