The real reason we lost. We didn't go for Obama's support.

We didn't play up the war and the patriot act/torture.

It's just that simple.

The Paul campaign decided to trumpet abortion, being christian, and other traditional values.

We didn't get new people in and that's why we lost.

I think your right. Somebody said "Obama supporters are the easiest to convert" and yet they all seem to have voted for Obama anyway? We should focus more on them elsewhere.

Check out McCain's shar of voter 45+. It was not new voters that put us where we are.

I know i'm right.

I wouldn't be here if it werent for those issues.

As soon as I saw that 30 min infomerical I knew we wouldn't do well because it starts out talking about abortion. That's not why I came into the fold and it's obvious that young people are voting... just not for Paul.

I think we can solidly blame the campaign for this........not Iowa, not the nasty ole MSM, and not ourselves.

Agreed 100%. Huck may be the man to beat but it is Obama we need to focus on because that is where we are most likely to pick up votes-especially in open primary states.

We are definitely in a battle with Obama. Him winning Iowa isn't good for us. He hurts us the most. We needed Hillary to finish better than him.

You are probably right. Monetary policy is too complicated a lot of people on the fringe of all different candidates. The patriot act would have attracted a few Obama supporters. I'm sure there is several other issues as well, but ehh...oh well.

Goodness, we haven't lost man. We're still stable.
Sure, we didn't win in the evangelical state. We still have others to contest.

We also didn't stress the anti-war policy of our candidate. 48% of Iowans are against the war. Instead we stressed anti-immigration.

CAMPAIGN HQ:

stop trumpeting issues like abortion, immigration, and gun control. these factors really don't mean that much to the american people.

what matters so much more is the amazing and revolutionary monetary policy and foreign policy of Ron Paul.

QFT!

We're not doing NEARLY enough to establish a presence on the liberal blogosphere and go after disenchanted Democrats!

You don't "lose" a caucus.

It had nothing to do with Obama. We placed lower because we let Huckabee get the Evangelical Christian vote. That's where main effort should have been. Not saying it wasn't, I wouldn't know. But, if it wasn't....

I agree too. The anti-war vote should have been ours. Obama is really weak there but that is how he won.
