I just heard that they are signing up people to phone from home, so those of you who insisted on calling through other means can now actually do something to help the Campaign.

By using the campaign call list people can make sure they get their tickets and bus transportation to and from the event.

Contact [email protected] to get signed up!

This is great news, I keep hearing that the grassroots phone calls have been causing issues for callers in Iowa.

I've contacted Jerry a second ago but I haven't got my details yet, hopefully this is true.

I got a call from Jerry today. He said on the next "ramp-up" I'll be included.

Is their an age requirment? And is this a push to call new people, or people who have registered to remind them about the poll?

This is reaching out to new people, we need to make sure that Ron not only wins but by a large a margin as possible. It is important that Ron is seen as the clear choice for Iowa and people everywhere.

As far as I know, there isn't an age requirement, but I'm sure Jerry could help you.

Is it still get a list from Steve and then make the calls or do they have an interface like rp2012.org? You can say what you want about Jun but his website has a great interface. Someone should talk to the campaign to have someone take a look and see what they can do. I imagine if the campaign had something as well put together as rp2012.org, they could canvas the whole state (republicans, independents and democrats) before the straw poll. As it is I make my calls, send in the results and then wait for a week to get another list from the campaign. In the meanwhile I make calls on rp2012.

This is an interface but I don't want to discuss it too much in the open. Get in touch with Jerry and he will explain it to you.

Sent Jerry an email. It would be great to have a good interface because the lists and scripts can take a long time to get organized and I often only have a few minutes to make calls while at work.

If you like RP2012.org you will like this new interface as well.

What this phone bank is doing: finding more RP supporters.
What you will need: a phone and internet connection - I use my google voice number and make calls through the computer so that I save my cell phone minutes.
How this works [without giving away precious details] - The campaign calls you and connects you with the person you're calling. Its very simple and easy with no dialing involved.

Lets blow this thing up! Lets make TONS of calls with this - lets show the campaign that we're trustworthy productive people that can turn this election --- what other candidate has thousands of people making calls during their breaks at work? We are what give RP an edge - lets make sure that we're used to our full potential. woohoo I'm excited about this!

With AT&T I can add the google number to my "family plan"(I have 50 "slots' for numbers) and all calls to that number are free.

I'm sure the other carriers have similar programs. so you can use your cell phone and not use any minutes. If you have a land-line that's always a good option, too

This is far and away the most important way to help Ron Paul.

Please get on board with this so our team in Iowa can start reaching out to ID'd supporters and continue to reach out to Independents.

Email Jerry to get involved with that. Give me a call if you have any questions, 515.822.5483.

If you're already phone banking with another platform, please switch to the official platform so your hardwork will lead to us getting the full data.

Spoke to Jerry today. He said people signing up this weekend would be good to go on Tuesday. Ready to go.

In other news I've started calling the people identified in the robopolling effort with rp2012.org. Jun says they've got 2000 phone numbers where someone selected RP in the robopolls just in the Ames/Des Moines area. So far we've been getting ~25% of people ID'd to commit to the straw poll (many of whom commit to bring others so in the end we commit 40 people to the straw poll for every 100 identified through robopolling). We're doing more robopolling so hopefully we'll get a couple thousand people to the straw poll through this effort.

These robopolls have only been going through males under 40 around Des Moines and Ames. Before the caucuses if we robopoll and live poll the whole state and then GOTV things are looking very good.

This sounds like it is getting awesome results!

I made roughly 30 calls yesterday - it was around 1:30-2:30 on a Saturday and most of them didn't answer. Late afternoon - early evening will probably get better results. Very nice phone bank.

For those wondering about cell phone minutes - you call into the system, I don't think the number will ever change, if you add that number to your cell phones friends and family list all the calls will be free. Just a thought.
Cell phones and landlines are more reliable than google.com/voice

If you have a smartphone use the google voice app and call through that number rather than your cell number if you're worried about minutes.

P.S. made roughly an hour worth of calls again today, life's good :)
