The irony of the massive Ron Paul presence on myspace is...

...you are all supporting Rupert Murdoch and News Corporation (FOX News owners) making massive amounts in advertising.

I propose everybody simultaneously cancel their myspace bullshit account and we create our own social networking site and support someone who cares about liberty.

Are you using Windows?

I use Ubuntu.

I think we all know that Microsoft is a globalist organization, however given the direct attacks that Rupert Murdoch has railed against us and given that there are practical alternatives to myspace, I think a mass cancellation is feasible.

We are supposed to be destroying NewsCorp remember!!!

The people yelling and screaming at FOX News are the same ones who spend 8 hours a day on myspace.

Oh, the irony!

and yet we have the audacity to call others "sheeple".

1. I have a MySpace, but almost never log on.
2. When I do log on, I have the convenience of AdBlock Plus. ;)

Curlz,

Ido not mean to disrespect your intent, however, I see some flaws with this concept.

1) It would be unrealistic to expect 100% of Ron Paul supporters to do this, as they use MySpace for other reasons to keep up with friends.

2) If 100,000 people left MySpace, it will only be a minor blip for NewsCorp.

3) Most importantly, it removes a large Ron Paul presence from one more source of media that people actually go to and use, and would lead to continued obscurity.

If you are going to hurt Newscorp, go after their advertisers. Boycott their products if they continue to advertise with Newscorp. Send them DVDs of Outfoxed. Call the cable companies to remove Fox News from their lineup.

I don't use myspace - or facebook.

I created accounts to bump Ron Paul's internet numbers.

If anything, this activity is a net drain. My account is using up some amount of server space - yet I don't do anythying to generate a profit for the company.

Use it all you want. It is easy to spam and they have little restrictions. If you feel bad maybe go to facebook.

I myself have never had a myspace acct. Those hompages look like doo doo for the most part. It is like a nightmarre with the background wallpapers, stretched pictures.. Arrgrrrr

It won't be long before Murdoch has yahoo in his pocket as well. I use yahoo for my email but will drop it like a hot potatoe if Murdoch buys it.

Do you all realize that you're providing free details to populate databases with MySpace and FaceBook? Some of you even provide photos. Soon, they'll probably provide you with a little pad (free of charge, of course), where you sign in with your fingerprint.

Not from me. I have iads.myspace.com blocked at my router. I see no ads on myspace.

Already got rid of myspace months ago. I don't even like the friends I have. I don't need more. :)

So many excuses.

Even if you have ad-blocker, it does not affect advertising dollars. Advertisers look at the number of accounts and traffic.

As long as you people continue to use myspace, we will never be successful in destroying NewsCorp. Rupert Murdoch is laughing at all you morons right now. He's sitting on his throne saying 'those fools' and rubbing his hands together salivating. He can't believe how stupid you are.

What I'm saying is that we should create a better social networking site (better than both myspace and facebook), perhaps under the new Basic Media company that Lyman and Rick Williams have started. Obviously you don;t make the site outwardly supportive of Ron Paul, it would just be neutral, but at least the company making the profit would be supportive of Ron.

We don't want Rupert Murdoch controlling the new media.

I guess you all like feeling important with your 800 "friends" on that crap.

I guess we like mixing with non Paul supporters and trying to persuade them.

I can see little point in trying to persuade people ALREADY for Paul.

I'm looking at your avatar while reading that you use myspace.

What a joke you are.

It seems people are more than willing to boycott when it is convenient for them, but when it is not, they are happy to turn a blind eye and continue with their pointless lives.

Besides, I think we have learnt that the convincing people via the net does not add up to votes. The old media still rules right now.
