Why? Rand said he was endorsing the Republican nominee months before and he even said he would endorse the Republican nominee in his Senate campaign. Ron Paul lost. He won zero states. There was no mathematical way for him to win even he won every state after Rand's endorsement of Romney.
 
I've been a critic of Rand lately, but he didn't have a choice in endorsing Romney. If he hadn't, the entire Republican machine would have destroyed him by now, and heaped blame for Obama's victory right at his door. Rand's political career would be over before he could do anything else had he not done what he did.
 
Ron only suspended active campaigning but remained in the race. You guys forget this forum was in a complete uproar with Rand when he endorsed Romney while Ron was still in the race.

He had the support of the liberty movement to lose,...and he did,...quite handily.

For payback the establishment allowed him to be one of the people who attacked Donald Trump while Trump was polling 25%.

Suffice it to say that Rand isn't being advised by rocket scientists.
