Many people want to support Ron Paul but many do not realize they cannnot because they are not registered as republicans. Many people who are Democrats and independependents do not want to give up their registration to the party of choice to switch to republican. Over half of the states have closed primarys in those states only republicans can vote in the primary. Democrats will not have a primary they will be supporting Obama if they follow party lines. There is a growing number of Democrats reregistering as Republicans to vote for Ron Paul. Then they will switch back after he wins the republican nomination. Everyone can vote in the general election. It is easy to re register. You can do it on line or at your county courthouse or you can even get a registration card at your local dmv. My suggestion and what we are doing locally to support Ron Paul is we are going to all local events for instance Farmers Markets every week, state and county fairs. Our mission is to reregister democrats and Independents. We carry registration cards and a clip board. sign them up and tell them reregistering is not just for the republican party but for Ron Paul and give them an extra registration card to switch back after the primary election in your state. Tell them you are not supporting the republican party just Ron Paul. If you and your friends can come up with enough money to buy a roll of stamps you can even offer to put stamps on them and send them in for them if they wish. We can even get names and phone numbers so you can contact them before the election and remind them to vote. Trust me it works well. We signed up over 30 people last weekend just at the local farmers market. Here is a link to find out if your state has an open or closed primary.
