This is somewhat off topic since it doesn't relate directly to Ron Paul, but this was such an amazing burst of truth from a former national security advisor that I felt compelled to post it. Plus this has a lot to do with why Ron Paul is getting so much support, namely the Bush installed American police state.

The "war on terror" has created a culture of fear in America. The Bush administration's elevation of these three words into a national mantra since the horrific events of 9/11 has had a pernicious impact on American democracy, on America's psyche and on U.S. standing in the world. Using this phrase has actually undermined our ability to effectively confront the real challenges we face from fanatics who may use terrorism against us.

Oh yeah, I guess I should point out the ending:

Where is the U.S. leader ready to say, "Enough of this hysteria, stop this paranoia"? Even in the face of future terrorist attacks, the likelihood of which cannot be denied, let us show some sense. Let us be true to our traditions.

Hmm, well Zbigniew... I know of one U.S. leader who is saying that.

Holy jeebus though.... did you read the comments left about this article? It's like a neocon sh*tstorm. No, they're absolutely correct, Bush is doing a FINE job, fine job indeed.

HAH! How ironic! Zbigniew is the man who helped create the mujahadeen and scripted the war on terror in his book The Grand Chessboard which has become the 'bible for the bush administration'. This scumbag is just going around trying to play the good cop now and pretend hes not one of the architects of this mess. Very slick Zbig, but we know better!

Zbigniew Brzezinski....yikes. Don't trust this guy. Evil kneivel. He is pretending not to be a part of the problem, when he is neck deep in it. He wants a one world government.....

Painting the Bush Admin as the only bad guys... nice fall guys for the apparatus.

Well yes, I know he's not that innocent either (Afghanistan and the mujahideen), but it seems to me that while most elites in power are globalists (make no mistake, the Democrats are too), there can be difference of opinion between the two groups.

I think this just points out how radical and distinctly UNAMERICAN this neocon administration is.
