I didn't realize this was a thing... attempting to sell something legal disguised as an illegal drug is a felony in Indiana

Yes, it is illegal to sell something if you say it is a controlled substance. For example if you grab a bag of leaves, put it in a bag, and tell someone it is pot and sell it to them, you can be convicted of marijuana distribution. Can't recall whether it is a federal or state law.

I don't know how the penalties relate and I would not suggest that this is a good thing. But a person selling the real drug has done nothing wrong. The person cheating people by selling something other than what he claims HAS done something wrong. He tried to fuck someone over and got fucked over himself. No sympathy from me.
