On the same day that Obama states his desire to emulate Teddy Roosevelt, as Bill Anderson points out on the LRC Blog, Newt's interview with Glenn Beck is released wherein Newt states:

I’m a Theodore Roosevelt Republican. In fact, if I were going to characterize my ‑‑ on health where I come from, I’m a Theodore Roosevelt Republican and I believe government can lean in the regulatory leaning is okay.

"Sort of makes it clear what our choices might be come November 2012, eh?"
