Ted Cruz names Bob Barr National Chair of “Liberty Leaders for Cruz” Coalition

Releases Video of Former Ron Paul Organizers Endorsing Ted Cruz for President

HOUSTON, Texas — U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, today named former U.S. Congressman Bob Barr National Chair of the “Liberty Leaders for Cruz” coalition. The campaign also released a video of eight leaders in the Liberty movement who are actively working for the Cruz campaign, featuring their personal stories of why they supported Ron Paul, and why in 2016, they support Ted Cruz for President.

No surprise there, first he backstabbed the father, Ron, and now he backstabbs the son, Rand. We will see how much they trully love liberty once Cruz drops out if they then endorse Rand or the establishment's candidate.

Stupid Liberatarian party. Bob Barr and Wayne Allen Root for President and VP? For a bunch of people who think they are smarter than everyone else, they sure do shoot themselves in the foot with alarming frequency.

In New Hampshire, I see liberty people supporting Paul, Cruz, and even Trump. Rand's father had the support of about 1/4 of the Republican voters in NH. So far, Rand hasn't been able to break through in any state as far as I can tell.

Good. Maybe that bunch who took over DP in 2012 and spilled over to here will go over to freeRepublic and Breitbart this time.

The great majority of the votes Ron got in Iowa and New Hampshire were built up for him in December. Where Rand is now is not far behind where Ron was.

Yes. Ron Paul took the lead in Iowa in December 2011, when a PPP poll there showed him in first-place. Hannity and the media immediately went on the attack with the stale newsletters story after that poll, but it never seemed to hurt Paul.

For about two-three weeks, in mid-to-late December, it really looked like Paul was going to win Iowa. Then CNN put out a transparently flawed poll saying Santorum was at 15% in Iowa about ten days before the Iowa Caucus, and the media used it to start talking about Santorum non-stop, and it became a self-fulfilling prophecy and Santorum surged at the last moment to deny Paul. Even PPP, on Twitter, said that the initial CNN poll showing Santorum at 15% in Iowa was messed up, but helped him because of all the subsequent media shilling it produced.

The other event was Benton boosting the Santorum campaign.

Benton's people got Sorenson to abandon Michele Bachmann with bribes. Her campaign then collapsed and her supporters went to Santorum, giving him the victory. Without Benton the Santorum victory probably wouldn't have been possible. Maybe Ron would've won.
