That would be nice, but realistically we will always have some type of tax law.

What do you mean by "realistically?" If you mean that, "realistically, we need some kind of taxes," I suggest you read this. If you mean that, "realistically, we won't be able to eliminate the income tax," I suggest to you that if we eliminated Social Security (which is more harmful than helpful for the poor anyways) and appropriately reduced the military budget (we'd still spend more than all of our enemies), we could eliminate the income tax and then some. We could easily make up some revenues by eliminating quotas and prohibitive tariffs and replacing them with low, revenue-gathering tariffs.

For those who chose the Fair Tax, why?

For those who chose the Flat Tax, why?

What other type of tax reform would you support.

I would love to pay no taxes, but it is not going to happen. Even Ron Paul understands that.

If we ever want to actually have some type of real tax reform, we have to be able to actually to say something besides "no tax"........thats why we are not taken seriously.

What about the Fair Tax? IRC, there would not be an income tax, because it is a sales tax.

I read about the so-called FairTax.
It is just a sales tac without an income.
It might work if there was a rebate, as it says, to the poor so it does not end up being "regressive".
I would have taffifs to eliminate business's from outsourcing just to avoid laws like pollution.
Canada therefore would need a tariff.
I am also for, unlike most people, an estate tax.
I don't think descendants(sp) should get money without doing work.
It would apply to people making highe amounts, perhaps even 1 million potential inheirence.
These are just "morality" taxes.

Regardless the gov't should spend less and these might be enough.

Other.

The governing bodies should produce a budget on the local level. part of local government budget should include taxes paid to the state. The state will have a budget for the pool of funds coming from the local governments. The states budget will include taxes paid to the federal government. The federal government will have a budget for the pool of funds coming from the state.

All taxes are filtered through local and state governments before becoming available to the federal government.
