Taj says message sets him apart from GOP candidate

From what limited tidbits I can find, Taj plans to make Kerry seem like an extremist. If I were the campaign, I would play up Kerry's civil libertarian stances and entice independents. Just my thoughts though.

Dr. Taj doesn't have to do that - Nancy Cassis and the media have already taken care of that.

BTW, I've met Dr. Taj numerous times, and he's a nice dude. His platform though - laughable in our base Republican district. He supports single-payer health care and the Simpson-Bowles plan ($5 trillion tax hike).

He needs to run as a generic R, hammer Taj on healthcare and taxes and don't say anything crazy or spectacular.

I have no idea why you believe independent voters in this district would embrace a civil rights libertarian agenda, but you're wrong.

Bentivolio can start hyping up his pet causes once he's entrenched. For now, he should focus on being elected and his 1st term priority should be to provide great constituent services.
