T4T Versus FEMA

Can anyone get to Ron Paul and tell him to look at that Toomers for Tuscaloosa is doing? (T4T) They have a facebook group and they are doing FAR MORE and FAR better than FEMA. What they starteed after the T-town Tornado has spawned off to other grassroots groups helping in other areas using social media etc. It's simply amazing at how many donations are being handled by these groups and people being helped!

This would be EXCELLENT for Ron Paul to use as an example when he talks about FEMA needing to GO BUBYE!!

okay here's just an example: T4T latest update says: "FEMA and RC saying no-one in TN, KY, MO, AR, KS, MS needs bottled water, so why is the Salvation Army asking for help gathering bottled water to distribute? Anyone know what's really going on?"

and then many people responding with where they know water needs are... and how they're helping.

Yeah, I know what's going on. While FEMA tries to figure out how to spell Missouri and Oklahoma and get them in their GPS units, Tulsa alone is sending truckloads of donated bottles of water at the SA's word. While Obama tries to decide if we're worth the trouble of cutting his Irish vacation short, the Red Cross is saving asses and taking names.

I was in Tuscaloosa when the tornado hit there. All of the relief was done by volunteers, churches, UA students, etc. The only thing thing FEMA did was get in the way by setting up road block checkpoints and imposing a curfew.

Good thing that during the first critical days, they're invariably still getting their act together.

We don't need them. We're not having problems they can solve, and we don't need the additional problems they create.

FEMA stay home!
