While canvassing I've received two suggestions from a person I spoke to:
  1. Mention your military background
  2. Be more aggressive
When Ron Paul talks about the war on a stage with a bunch of neo-cons they can make him look pretty clueless. I don't know why Romney would chime in all of the time (a man with no military experience), but even he would allude to Ron Paul talking out of his ass. Most people don't realize Ron Paul was a dedicated member of our armed forces. As silly as it sounds, John McCain pulls a lot of weight simply because he served and was a p.o.w. in Vietnam. Furthermore, people think McCain has a closer relationship with the military simply because of his military background.

Also, we've said it for a long time and non-supporter agree, be more aggressive. The race is more than halfway finished, Ron Paul isn't even halfway to the delegate goal, everyone [who bothers to mention him] says he doesn't have a chance in hell. YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE! I've heard Ron Paul says some pretty impassioned things. Most people expect a politician to talk like a politician, very cool, collected and rehearsed. People can relate to someone who is as upset about the administration and the direction of the country as they are. For God's sake, turn some heads, raise some eyebrows, drop some jaws and bulge some eyeballs!

Yes, well, if abolishing the IRS, the FCC and the Federal Reserve doesn't bulge some eyeballs, I can't think of what will.
