The low numbers Ron Paul chalked up in Florida weren’t limited to votes.

He got 7 percent of the vote in last Saturday’s Republican presidential primary, which was good for a distant fourth place finish. But Paul’s vote total was surprisingly high considering this fact: There was an almost-complete Ron Paul blackout in the Florida media.

Of the four candidates for the GOP nomination, Paul received less than one-twentieth the coverage of the fellow losers Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich in Florida print-based publications, according to a study by HighBeam Research.

In the week leading up to the state’s Jan. 31 primary, Paul appeared in less than 1 percent of all Florida print-based media coverage, the study found. Mitt Romney received 60 percent of the attention, while Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum each had 20 percent.

This is easily the most biased blackout I've seen yet. Wow, pathetic. When will the MSM die?

Never as long as they are financed by the same government that they are trying to keep in power.
Media government subsidies FTL!!

Is there a link to the study being cited?

Obviously I believe its true, but to better emphasize this point to other Repubs, it helps to be able to prove this.

But if the campaign spent all their money there to run a few 30 second ads, it would be totally different!11!! :toady:

I believe it.

I once emailed my local paper (The Palm Beach Post) about lack of Ron Paul coverage. Three hours later I check their website and they post an article where Ron Paul says Medicare isn't in the Constitution. I'm sure that went real well with the seniors

*Palm Beach Gardens is in Palm Beach County.

If he's going to skip a state, why should the media cover him? Ron Paul is to blame on this, sorry guys.

Boycott the media.. simple! The media has been the bane of RP and of our existence. Think of how much easier if everything was actually neutral without this biased bullcrap or blackout.

i dunno... the media screws us too much. grassroots makes 2 steps... the media knocks us back 1 step. boycott i say!! boycott!!!! RAWRRR

We really do need to take extreme measures against the media. Being nice isn't going to persuade them to be fair. People never heed a warning before it's too late. Do we really feel like standing by and watching this continue? These are men and women that are selling themselves out for their cushy little seats and prestige, and they're not thinking of the consequences involved for this country.
