(she said "lets look sexy" and I replied "I always do")

Anyway so I got here and went straight to check in. We got checked in and then went to vote in the straw poll. They had a printing problem allegedly and didn't open the poll until 2pm. They did keep it open later than scheduled, apparently some of our people got flustered that they were unable to vote early. We'll see how that plays out.

Went to free dinner and recognized a few CFL people but it was mostly covered with neocon establishment types. Hannity was doing a show next to Romneyville (lots of them here) and there were hundreds of people gathered around. It was funny because the way he had his power run in the ballroom made it real easy for someone to turn off his equipment in the middle of the show. I don't think anyone did it of course although it wouldn't have been hard to.

Didn't know anything about Gary Johnson speaking unfortunately because if I did we would've gone. However we left before Hannity started, there were a few people there with RP'08 signs that stayed behind, but not enough in my opinion to warrant sticking around for because we were vastly outnumbered. So we went to the French Quarter and hung around there for quite few hours getting ourselves into all sorts of trouble. ;)

Going to get back at it again tomorrow and show up for Ron's speech and then to the afterparty. Following that, back to the Quarter again I am sure ha ha ha. :p

While I didn't see many CFL types here tonight, I think we have a serious chance to win this thing given the insider information I am aware of. We'll see how it turns out on Sat night :)

Matt...when the beautiful Ms. Gibbs leans towards you, you lean back at her...

Jeez!

:p

Make it happen, brother.

Matt, those Xs are kind of sloppy--I would have been more careful. Apparently close to 10% of ballots were spoiled in the 2006 SRLC straw poll. Tell Allison to urge people to be extremely careful when they fill out their ballots tomorrow.

Oh and on the Interstate on the way back to the hotel we almost got side swiped by a cop who was chasing a motorcyclist. We had to swerve to avoid a side collision. What was odd about it was that the rider was not on the bike and either fell off, jumped off, or got knocked off. The bike rolled for a good half mile down the Interstate without anyone on it. It was freaky.

I could write a book about tonight, but it isn't polite to tell tales out of school. Besides what happens in NOLA stays in NOLA ;):p:D.

Unfortunately, I am inclined to believe him. Our group tends to throw some mean after parties. I had a few crazy nights myself down at CPAC.

OY OY OY! Liberty ladies make me love me some liberty! :D
I need to get out more :|.

I hear that John Cox is on the list of candidates you could've supported in 2008, while Sam Brownback, Jim Gilmore, Tom Tancredo aren't, at least those three made it to a debate!

So can Paul get 200+ votes at SRLC? that seems realistic....maybe

You mean in addition to the 800 possible from C4L members? I think so. He got 9.5% of the non-C4L/YAL vote at CPAC. 9.5% of the non-C4L vote at the SRLC would be about 300.
