This is one of my favorite little videos. There was a thread a while back bashing this film, but I urge you to watch it with an open mind.

They don't come out with the real solution libertarian style, though they do tell some truths about our economy related to the Fed which I'll get into in a moment. The real solutions are protection of private property and respecting the sovereignty of other nations.

Essentially the film is about how the manufacturing industry brainwashes people into buying their crap. Not everything 'manufactured' is crap, but they portray global manufacturing pretty accurately in the film.

It's also about how our economy is dependent on increasing consumer spending and consumer debt. This film is an excellent segway into our debt based economy for open minded people on the left.

Other than that she really called it like it is.

That's pretty much how I feel about it. Move trust from corporations to government. Bleh.

The other problem was that she mentioned climate change. How about she comes and gets some -40 wind chill on her skin out here in North Dakota and then talks about climate change?

That statement may or may not be true but she certainly did not say two years.

Try again. This time don't get so upset. Just watch it for what it is and try to find out what she's getting across. 98%+ of the film is excellent information, excellent analysis.

The [Federal Government] is selling permits to pollute. If a company comes along and has these CO2 or pollutant promises that they can pay for, they can [buy land]. Under a property rights viewpoint, if you are truly polluting your neighbor's property, you have no right to do it and are stopped immediately.

Notice he does not say, "it's your property, you can do whatever you want."

Yeah even though she makes some wrong conclusions, and it is definitely a lefty/hippy PoV, I felt there was a lot of good info and overall enjoyed it. I had my wife watch it she felt the same.
