Hey guys, I recently sent this email to my cousin asking some questions regarding investments an stocks. If you guys have any answers or any books that I can read to increase my knowledge please feel free to help me.

Like I said, since I actually am able to save some money I have a renewed interest in the stock market and other future investments. Now let me see what questions I can think of...
What online brokerage do you use? I remember you told me a while back but I forgot. I have looked at Zecco and Tradeking(they may have merged recently from what it says on the zecco.com homepage. Also, I would like one that traded in foreign stocks as well as domestic. Do you have any experience in dealing with foreign stocks? Also, have you made any type of significant gains(and hopefully no losses)? What type of commodities interest you when buying stock? For me it seems like oil stocks would be a good investment if shit goes wrong overseas.
I also will also be starting a 401k with my company probably pretty soon.
Other things I have looked into are precious metals and currency trading. The currency trading doesn't look like a good thing to try unless you know what you're doing, but I know some people who have made some money who bought silver around 10 - 20 dollar an ounce and sold it at 40 dollars an ounce and rebought it at lower prices. I also like it because of the Federal Reserves constant inflation.
If you have any books to recommend I would really appreciate it as well. I can't think of anything else right now and I don't want to take up your time. Any information is again, appreciated.
