As everyone in the anti-illegal immigration knows, there are currently two very high profile (former) border patrol guards currently serving prision time after being testified against by an illegal alien drug smuggler that was given immunity for his testimony. They are agents Ramos and Compeon and, so far, President Bush has refused to grant them pardons (for doing their JOBS). For Dr. Paul to mention that he would immediately pardon these gentleman (providing, of course, that he actually would pardon them) upon taking office would go a LONG way to garnering the support of those who wish to see our borders secured (especially once Tancredo and Hunter drop out of the race as their supporters will be looking for someone else to support that they perceive is good on this issue).

By doing the above, Dr. Paul could further distance himself from the open-borders Bush administration and would probably garner quite a bit of media attention from people such as Lou Dobbs and Anderson Cooper.
