Someone should organize an IRS boycott

Seriously, if millions of Americans refused to send in their IRS forms then what could the government do about it? It'd be just like the bus boycotts that helped end segregation in the south.

That IRS "strike" in the other thread doesn't make sense. What are you striking against? This would be concrete action of not sending in your 1040 forms or stuff like that.

Not to be negative here (hehe..) but the difference is if
you don't pay your taxes, the IRS will come get you and
will declare you to be guilty and you'd have the
burden of proving yourself to be innocent.

I don't believe not riding the buses was considered a crime,
so boycotting the bus system didn't get people into trouble
and sent to jail.

A bit of a difference don't you agree?

We were owed refunds several years in a row and neglected to file. When we finally did, our refund checks were for more than we had claimed.

The reason they were more is because of interest (The 'memo' line read interest: $xx).

Wonder what it would cost the government if everyone who was owed a refund waited a year or so to file...

Again... I don't mean to be negative (just a being a realist here).
All IRS would need to do (and they have done this in the past) is to
cherry pick a few key people out of the 10,000,000 you got to go
along with this "plan", and make an example of them, by prosecuting
them to the fullest, taking away their homes, their savings, breaking
up their family, putting them in jail, basically ruining their lives... soon
the rest of the "sheeple" will fall back to their "normal" routine and
file their returns and pay their penalties for late filing and pay the
interest...

I think you need to change the system by electing more Ron Pauls
into government. We need more Congressmen and women, and more
Senators like Ron Paul. We need to vote out current politicians who
are working against us.

That's why I think it is most important for this Ron Paul Movement
not to die out after this election year. It should continue on no matter
what... no matter if we win or lose. We need to keep this grassroots
efforts going and keep educating people to know their rights and to
keep fighting for the Constitution. Elect the right folks into office ...even
RUN for these office positions ourselves!

Already with you since they started the Iraq war. There is strength in numbers...paying tax, in my opinion, is equal to subsidizing the illegal war.

So what you're saying is that you don't have the chutzpah, the cojones, the fortitude to do this or to take a strong stand?
