So why aren't Mike Pence, Pawlenty, Hayley Barbour etc. "long shots"?

All of these people are considerably less well known than Ron Paul was in 2007/2008 and definitely now (they're also boring and a waste of time), yet some how the media don't tag them with the long shot tag they do with Ron, Pawlenty in particular gets talked up a lot but who the heck is he? They will do anything but admit the truth, that Ron Paul is popular and has considerable organizing ability and even more so after his presidential bid.

I hope we show them this weekend...

Maybe because they're governors...

Although Pawlenty is pro-war, his economic record in Minnesota is quite impressive.

I'd bet gold money that TPTB have already decided to run either Romney or Palin. Probably Romney because Palin might have a genuine problem with playing ball.

So in order to grant us the illusion of fairness, they need to trot out a bunch of muppets who don't have a chance. Think about it... what the hell was Sam Brownbeck or Tom Tancredo doing on stage? They're each about as electable as a serial rapist.

They simply need to stack the deck with unelectable people. I'm convinced that's how RP got in in the first place, and I'm convinced that's why they switched to open badmouthing, cutting him off, and rigging votes when he turned out not to be their fall guy.
