Sharron Angle, Nevada GOP Senate nominee, was a Constitution Party member

wow! that is great but I stilll have some reservations about her foreign policy. I won't be able to vote for her so i guess it doesn't matter too much, but anyways, i wonder if she has those positions on her website just so she can be considered a mainstream candidate and not the fringe.

I think there's a lot of that going around. But hey, I'm of the opinion that we need to take office, even if we get our hands a little dirty in the process.

I concur. Fuck'em. Just get elected and then start the real change. Fight fire with fire. I'm tired of being politically correct. If we don't do something quick these people will destroy what's left of this country and then we will be in a position where we have to hide our views for fear of retribution Communist style.

With that being said I seen her on Fox news this morning and she seems pretty straight forward. I think she'll win, too. Harry Reid has left a bad taste in every bodies mouth and he's going to hang come November.

Sharon will be great. I mean, who has the GUTS to say we need to dump the Fed and the Fed Dept of Ed?

You KNOW she supports sound money and states rights, that alone is HUGE.

Even if you didn't like her before, you'd better get behind her now... or the alternative is 40-year hack Reid with his socialist totalitarian agenda.

Get real people!

(And help support Jim Bender in NH!)

Didn't the late Aaron Russo form the Constitution Party? Given Angle's long term participation in Nevada politics and the fact that Aaron ran for public office in Nevada, I wonder if she knew Russo?

The fact she wants to dissolve the UN, tells me she's abit wiser about foreign policy than she lets on. She sounds like a closet Bircher, which is something I like.

I believe she is to be a guest on Hannity tonite, if I'm correct... and if you can stomach Hannity. I'm hoping to learn more about her, so I'll give it a shot.

Angle likely did know Russo--rightwing circles in Nevada are fairly small, they've always associated with each other.

However, Russo did want to form a Constitution Party, but never got around to it. He talked about it for several months, though.

The Constitution Party was formed in 1992 as the US Taxpayer's Party. Right now it's the only major third party (Green, Constitution, Libertarian) to have had a sitting US Congressman in its ranks (US Senator Bob Smith, who joined briefly in 1999). They also have numerous former Congressman in their ranks now.

The Constitution Party was founded by Howard Phillips, not Aaron Russo. I do believe Russo spoke to their national committee (back before his run for LP Pres) in the 90s.

Good.

People were calling me insane for supporting her, now I get to pull the generic "If supporting the Constitution makes me insane count me in" card.

She should switch back to the CP after she wins office! That would be great publicity/endorsement for Paul in 2012/good recognition for third parties.

My suggestion was that the IAP (the Independent American Party, the state affiliate of the CP) strike a deal with her. They withdraw their Senate candidate in this election (he's polling 5%) and endorse her. After she wins, she endorses one or two legislative candidates in 2012 running as IAPers. Not just endorsements--money raising, appearances, etc.

I'm not sure if an official endorsement from a group that could easily be labelled as "extremist" would be smart. It's like the LP of Kentucky attacking Rand, that probably helped him in the primary. It'd be better if they just pulled their candidate, and ideally found a way to tell that 5% to vote Angle.
