As was earlier reported 6/30..
U.S. Retreats From Al-Tanf – Gives Up on Occupying South East Syria

which began as twitter 'rumors'...

NEW US MIL BASE

apparently has now become confirmed:
US to set up new military base in northeastern Syria
DAMASCUS, SYRIA (5: 10 P.M.) – The US-led coalition will establish a new military base
for the FSA-affiliated Maghawir al-Thawra group in al-Shaddadi
town,
northeastern Syria, the political advisor of FSA, Abu Yacoub, said.

According to the advisor, the aim of this new garrison is to deploy the US-backed fighters
who will eventually attempt to capture the ISIS-held Deir Ezzor city.

Up to 150 fully-equipped fighters will be deployed to the new base.

PUSHING ISIS SOUTH

Yesterday it was reported that a number of key villages
on the southern bank of the Euphrates were captured by the SDF from ISIS after protracted clashes.
To this end it appears that the SDF is developing an advance
in the direction of Deir Ezzor from the northeast
.

Syrian observers have argued that the real objective of the Coaltion-backed SDF
is to entice ISIS forces to completely disengage from northern Syria – abandoning it to Kurdish control –
and instead
concentrate their military efforts against pro-government forces in central (Homs Governonate),
eastern (Deir Ezzor Governonate)
and southern (Badia region) Syria.

US & ISIS Jointly Attack Village (just south of this 'new' military base.)

Today... it is reported:
ISIS and the Coalition Forces Jointly Attack Kishik Zyyanat Village in Syria

At least nine Syrian civilians were killed, after jets of the so-called US-led “anti-ISIS” international coalition
attacked the residential area in Kishik Zyyanat village, located 15 km south of the town of Al Shadadi

According to local sources, all of the people killed were members of Al Ahmadi family.

The dead reportedly include women and children as well. Some other people were also injured, in addition to causing massive material damage.

In conjunction, ISIS terrorists kept shelling the village, causing several casualties.

Last week, more than 90 people were killed in 3 attacks, carried out by the coalition forces jets that targeted residential areas in the towns of Dablan and Mayadeen, located in the eastern countryside of the eastern Syrian province of Deir Ez Zour.

So the US transplants the Al-Tanf FSA mercenaries into the SDF/Kurd mix...
they can't be happy... they fight EACH OTHER in Afrin-Turkey arena!
but hey..
it's a paycheck right??.
And let's airstrike and bomb the crap out of a residential village while ISIS shells them...
MAGA!

US/Kurds/SDF may 'think' they're going to [still] take Deir Ezzor...

Nowhere to run for ISIL terrorists as Russian jets hunt them down in east Syria

BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:25 P.M.) – The Russian Air Force has been relentlessly targeting the Islamic State (ISIL) terrorists in eastern Syria,
inflicting heavy damage on their defenses and harassing their convoys in the Deir Ezzor and Homs governorates.

Over the last 60 hours, the Russian Air Force has launched nonstop airstrikes
over the Deir Ezzor and Homs governorates;
this large influx in aerial activity is likely attributed to the Islamic State’s recent deployment
of many terrorist units to the eastern part of Syria.
(ISIS 'last stand' in Deir Ezzor continues to fail)

July 5, 2017 By Vanessa Beeley

With very little fanfare from the western media, the US is quietly creating a hostile military footprint inside Syria.

By establishing a chain of airbases, military outposts and missile bases inside Syria,
the US is illegally, stealth-occupying a sovereign nation.
The number of US military installations in Syria has increased to eight bases according to recent reports,
and possibly nine according to one other military analyst.
