I'm probably an idiot and just couldn't find it, but I did not see another Wall Street thread and I do believe history is currently being made.

Trending on Twitter and over 20,000 live viewers. Things getting crazy on the Brooklyn Bridge. A 13 year old girl in a floppy hat was just arrested for no reason.

I agree someone in the area start passing out fliers and getting Ron Pauls name out there. pick up donations and voters!

Standing in traffic on the Brooklyn bridge is not no reason. You should be arrested for that.

Involvement in this is going to be toxic in a mainstream GOP primary.

You guys need to use your brains, if you leave tons of Ron Paul flyers around the ground and with people guess what the media is going to say when Occupywallstreet goes rotten. Its already chalk full of marxists.

They think corporatism is capitalism. I doesn't make a difference though, they want both destroyed.

I meant that as a real question. Aren't they protesting to end capitalism?
that guy has no idea what he advocates saying "building coalitions"........makes me sick.We cannot be diverted into the mindless grind of lemming chants. the occupywallstreet is a diversion of agitated citizens, directed towards capitalism and with marxist values.

Thanks for the live link. Currently over 18k people watching. I would not even know about this today if not for the net.

These people are recognizing real problems. Which is half the problem. The other half of the problem of course is some of the ridiculous solutions some of these people recommend.

So, yes, we do need to build coalitions with them. We do need to explain how liberty is a better solution than socialism. Otherwise they may just end up pushing for more government thinking it will solve the problems.

Just maybe not now. Now they aren't likely in a frame of mind to listen.

On the surface they might think that's what they want, but I think most people are confused by what we have today. They think it is capitalism causing the problems (because ironically that's what the media says is causing it), but it's really corporatism. I think a good number of these people may agree with us if they are taught what is really going on. Of course some won't but you will have that with any crowd.

I don't really understand your attitude here. We have a chance to recruit fresh, motivated, active people into the movement and you don't want anything to do with it... I just don't get it. I give them mad props for at least standing out there. What are we doing? Typing on a forum, judging them from afar. /sigh

I agree that a demonstration like this isn't for the faint of heart. You better know what you are doing.

Nothing whatsoever on this in the media... Surprise? I think not. They are scared to feed into this.

But I think we must be very very careful... We don't really want the media to spin it that OccupyWallStreet is a bunch Ron Paul supporters because they'd love to. I already saw a story saying how Ron Paul supporters are taking participation in the event and handing out materials and stuff...

Anyone know what they are trying to achieve with these protest? Do they intend on shutting down wall street? That's awfully short-sighted. If we pass out anything, it should be flyers explaining how the federal reserve was responsible for all of this, not wall street directly. If they want to take down the dragon, no point beating at it's legs.

If I were them I'd march a few blocks over the the Federal Reserve Bank of NY and protest over there.

What about the rule of law and people who would like to know where the f**k the Justice department is? You suggest they wait until you decide when and how it's cool to be outraged that criminals brought down the economy through fraud and the Fed lied to Congress while they secretly handed the criminals our money as a bonus? Makes me sick. Find a thread that makes you feel good.

this is my general feeling as well. Ron did make some comments which I posted as did someone else, based on a description that some of his supporters were there, and he basically said so long as it is peacable and they are speaking about the fed, good. However, he also said he wasn't tracking it, and he clearly wasn't identifying with it.

Why did you post it in Ron's campaign forum instead of in general politics? Because that is the main reason you don't see a thread on this here, it isn't connected with Ron's campaign.
