Denver Post on Sunday (AP sources) reported the Senators in the GOP horserace -
who btw are grouped together on the left side of the stage at the Reagan Library Wednesday night -
will all take a break from the campaign trail to attend Pope Francis' address to Congress on September 24.
Francis has a meeting in the Oval Office with President Obama the previous day.
The article mentions how "President George W. Bush found himself at odds with the Vatican over the Iraq war.
Both Pope John Paul II and his successor Benedict XVI vehemently opposed the war, yet each met Bush during their tenure."
imo . . .
Senator Rand Paul's fight for the sanctity of life as in the Planned Parenthood illegal activities as well as a foreign policy where
"war interventions" would be constitutionally authorized should make him welcome to the Pope's message while in the USA - imo.
