Denver Post on Sunday (AP sources) reported the Senators in the GOP horserace -
who btw are grouped together on the left side of the stage at the Reagan Library Wednesday night -
will all take a break from the campaign trail to attend Pope Francis' address to Congress on September 24.

Francis has a meeting in the Oval Office with President Obama the previous day.

The article mentions how "President George W. Bush found himself at odds with the Vatican over the Iraq war.
Both Pope John Paul II and his successor Benedict XVI vehemently opposed the war, yet each met Bush during their tenure."

imo . . .
Senator Rand Paul's fight for the sanctity of life as in the Planned Parenthood illegal activities as well as a foreign policy where
"war interventions" would be constitutionally authorized should make him welcome to the Pope's message while in the USA - imo.

This Pope is a Communist, and his main focus will likely be a leftist pitch on why it is "Christian" for the Western nations to commit suicide through Mass Immigration. Rand should attend, but after the speech he should take to the news programs and say that while the Pope is entitled to his opinion, in America we don't take our marching orders from Rome. Then use that opening to talk about ending birthright citizenship, cutting immigration to reasonable levels, and use our military to defend the border with Mexico rather than the borders of Iraq and Afghanistan.

Damn straight! "We" take orders from AIPAC and other foreign special interests!
