Senators Lindsey Graham and Mike Lee could stand up for Trump in the final election battle?

Chances are still slim of any Seate coup but if any Senators stood up for Trump's battle against deep neocons, these two appear to be most likely at this point.

Relatively speaking, Senators Mike Lee and Lindsey Graham seem much nore closer to Trump, his family and are closely politically aligned with his policies. Cruz could have been in that camp too but he probably still holds grudge from attacks he received during 2016 primary season.

I don't have a citation handy, so you'll have to take my word for it, but I recall seeing an article to the effect that Mike Lee was not going to participate in any farcical attempt in the Congress to reject the electoral college results. As to Mz. Linzi, I couldn't say about her motives, nor care less. What really disturbed me, however, was that Rand was named in this same article (from The Hill?) as being amenable to joining that effort. If that really is going to be Rand's legacy (i.e. mindless obedience to this idiot leftist conman, who Rand himself mocked back in 2015), then libertarians who would like to have a future and try to do something productive need to distance themselves from Rand. If we must have a national politician as our totem, I would suggest Massie, but better to break that habit altogether I'd say.

I agree that they would not participate in any “farcical attempt” - but I believe that they would participate in a valid attempt to repudiate EC votes acquired by FRAUD.

.

I seriously doubt Lindsey Graham will do anything. That guys dirt is up there with the dirtiest of the dirty. Probably hangs out with Pelosi in his off time. Graham as an absolute SNAKE. Do not trust that guy as far as you can throw him.

Certainly multiple Senators that could/ will debate the facts that this election was shady.

The election is over, there is no final battle. Why would they toss their careers away for Trump anyhow?

If Graham believed that Trump had a chance to remain in the WH, he would definitely do anything he could to demonstrate his continued loyalty to him. Graham has been Trump's fiercest ally in the Senate. But that was a pragmatic calculation on Graham's part. Once Trump is out of the WH, Graham will have nothing to gain by continuing that except as an empty show he may occasionally put on to keep the support of those members of his constituency who will still care about his belonging to what they see as the Trump wing of the party.

But this same pragmatism won't permit Graham to put on such a pointless display as objecting to the electoral college vote, knowing full well that there is zero chance of Trump remaining in the WH with the ability to reward his loyalty as president.

They are going to have the open debate/
Presentation of voter fraud.

Count on it.

Why would Graham stand up for Trump? Did we forget how much he hated Trump back in 2015/2016 and how Trump was always attacking his polls numbers?

You're talking about ancient history. Since Trump's inauguration Graham has been hands down his most loyal ally in the Senate.

But I agree that now that Trump lost Graham has no more incentive to keep that up.

Here in South Carolina Lindsey Graham was opposed by Jaime Harrison who raised the most money ever for a Senator race.

Lindsey survived thanks to Trump’s down-ballot effect.

This is why your logic always fails.

Rand will increase his electability substantially. Also, it's the right thing to do.. since the election was stolen.

If Rand isn't advancing the libertarian cause, there is no reason for libertarians to care about his electability.

Also, it's the right thing to do..

There is no reason for a libertarian to support Trump.

since the election was stolen.

You should probably take out a second mortgage to help finance the next round of sure-to-be-successful lawsuits...

not about trump or biden. It's about having any trust, at all, in our election process going forward. For millions of people.

Listened to some R Texas rep talk about how he is going to bring up issues with election on Jan 4th. Said he wrote formal notice to his 2 TX Senators (Cruz/Cornyn)

Reporter asked will they have enough votes to overturn, said who knows & that doesn’t concern him as much as election transparency

Trump will never stop claiming fraud, and his hardcore supporters will never stop believing everything he says, so I don't see how it matters.

Those people are going to be permanently disillusioned regardless of what happens next.

not if fraud is proven, legal votes counted, and perpetrators tried and convicted. otherwise... yeah.

The 2020 election was not a Libertarian vs Socialism issue. .

The issue is whether we will allow Biden to place his knee on our collective necks thereby suffocating us en masse.

Will we ?!?!?!?!

The melodramatics keep increasing day by day.

Better save some hysterics for mid January or you'll have topped out before then
