Screw Wonkette, let's make a mini-series.

How much money do you guys think it would take to make a mini series and play it on television, on a mass scale.

Is it more money than what we've collected before? Even if its not on Primetime television, we could get a spot on television in most states. The Ron Paul video guys over could make some pretty compelling stuff if they had the resources. Why not create a dramatic series explaining Ron Paul's philosophies and the necessity for voters to support him.

If anything this could be a nice F-U to the Ron Paul Billionaire story.

We could get sponsorship from hundreds of prominent people who support Ron Paul. Peter Thiel endorsed the guy. If we make this a massive grassroots project, we could have the series played everywhere around the world.

How awesome would that be.

I think using the footage outthere Ben, think you could put something together that's pretty good but clearing it for air would be a pain but it could be a great video to indoctrinate future freedom fighters and liberty lovers.

still waiting for the link that shows someone is boasting about this in wonkette. So far nothing.

I think that the campaign could do this easily enough. For example, suppose someone figures out it will take 4 million bucks to create and air a quality mini series nationwide.

If HQ setup a mini-series 4 million funding drive, I bet they could have that 4 mil in about 2 weeks. This is because they are the center of this entire movement. Lots of people would be super pumped up to finally see some *action*.

However, if you or I setup the exact same page with the same goal, at ronpaulminiseries.com ( or whatever ), we'd never collect 4 million. Because we are not perceived as legitimate.

So I guess if we want a mini-series, we should lobby HQ about creating such a fund drive. Now *that* might be a practical use for setting up a ronpaulminiseries.com.

just my $.02.

Also implied in my above remarks, is that I think we could fund such an effort faster than ever, because people like to know exactly what they are contributing to.

Right now, contributing to the campaign is a bit like paying the income tax.... money goes in, but you don't know what for exactly. The general fund.

Grassroots projects have had *some* success because they are much more specific than donations to HQ, and are thus considered to be offering "more bang for the buck".

But there is no reason that HQ cannot do the same thing, and get the combined effect of targeted (earmarked) donations, and HQ legitimacy.

Hello HQ... anybody listening?

I didn't think so.
