Darrel Dochow Allowed IndyMac Bank to Cook Its Books, Investigators Say

The man at the center of a fraud scandal at the Treasury Department has been allowed to quietly quit and retire from his job as a government regulator, despite allegations that he allowed a bank to falsify financial records and amidst outcries from investigators who say the case shows how cozy government regulators have become with the banks and savings and loans they are supposed to be checking on.

Former bank regulator Darrel Dochow evades ABC News' questions about the Treasury Department Inspector General's investigation into allegations he allowed IndyMac to cook its books when he worked at the Office of Thrift Supervision.

Say what you want about the similarities between the parties, and generally I'll back you up. But I sure don't remember any headlines like this during the Dubya Reign of Terror. Wonder if they got the right guy.

I have repeatedly posted on here, the collusion between the US Treasury, Federal RESERVE, SEC, and the Financials.

THe FEDERAL RESERVE blocked Egan and Associates in becoming a RATINGS approved company. EGAN called on some of the bank failures in previous years and the FED ruled them as a "Lucky Guess".

There's plenty of Collusion, Conspiring, and Corruption between the government and financials.

The question is HOW COME th FBI is not investigating; THE FED, THE TREASURY, THE SEC, THE RATINGS companies, and FINANCIALS?

I would of loved to seen the recorded NSA FISA conversations between government and the Banks, et al.

I know. I was just noticing that this is the first one of these since--when? The Clinton years? Farther back?

It may just be theater; in fact that's how I'd bet. But many people will consider it refreshing theater.

I think your English failed me. The Fed is older than the other two, and didn't need to be financed by the government as it's a private, for-profit corporation.
