Sam Altman’s Open AI Wants More Taxpayer Money

Do they just hand out federal guarantees at the federal guarantee shop or what how do I sign up for one of those

Just another mooching parasite.

At least the welfare queens of the EBT variety don't add insult to injury by pretending they offer something of inestimable value in exchange for the blood they suck.

In a new podcast Sam Altman says: " When something gets sufficiently huge ... the federal government is kind of the insurer of last resort, as we've seen in various financial crises ... given the magnitude of what I expect AI's economic impact to look like, I do think the government ends up as the insurer of last resort."

The government is signaling to us that AI companies will be on the bailout list at some point.

The U.S. government fixes nothing (especially not itself).

It only props up failures in the market that it has distorted.

Taxpayer money and Fed counterfeiting (which further destroys the money) are used to prop up the politically-favored.

Whether it be:

- Mortgage Backed Securities
- Big Banks
- Buying equities in companies
- Bailing out other failed nations

Another piling is added to the collapsing "system."

Eventually all of the pilings will snap in half. And then we'll be forced to do the right things for once.

"For the last seven years I warned you that LLMs and similar approaches would not lead us to AGI. Almost nobody is willing to acknowledge that, even though so many of you gave me endless grief about it at the time.

I also warned you -– first –- that Sam Altman could not be trusted, that OpenAI would lose its dominance, that GPT-5 would not be all AGI, and that LLMs lacked world models. That hallucinations would not go away. That out of distribution generalization was THE key issue.

And that the economics of LLMs didn't make sense. And that the LLM companies would start seeking bailouts.

The receipts are all here if you care. As for me, I have had it.
