Word is that Ron will speak at 2pm on Friday the 17th. There will be an after party / meet & greet for all of us next door at the Gordon Biersch Brewery from 4-6pm.

Voting will definitely be on Thursday and Friday, not sure about the hours, or if there will be voting on Saturday or not. That information should be available in the near future.

What's become of the free tickets you mentioned over the weekend?

Are there any grassroots plans? This is a good opportunity for the locals to take advantage of some motivated travelers. If I come I can offer a ride to those along my route from mid ga (columbus, auburn, montgomery, greenville, mobile). Where should we stay? Did the campaign buy these tickets? How many? Are they transferable? I don't want to register for a ticket if it would otherwise go to someone else but will definitely commit to coming if I do (and they aren't transferable).

It would be cool if we could all stay in roughly the same place, I haven't booked a room yet. I got some info from another person that she got rooms 5 blocks from the conference for $89 a night. If you look on the map it is very close and reasonably priced. Also it is right on bourbon st. if you like to drink a few beers after a day of hard conference attending.
