Understanding all this, one or more senators denied Rand Paul unanimous consent for his bill. His attempt to regain credibility with pro-Israel Republicans was dashed.

Rubin seems like a terrible writer to me. She makes up false premises, her conclusions don't follow logically, and she even lies at times(for example, she said in two successive anti-Rand columns recently that Rand wanted to close Gitmo, when Rand is clearly on the record stating the exact opposite). Her stuff is incoherent. She writes like a very disturbed teen. And she gets absolutely brutalized in the comments sections. And the fact that she writes an anti-Rand column sometimes four times per week seems sufficient to assert some kind of unhinged obsession.
