The media continues to give the RP supporters accolades for their dedication, innovativeness, passion.

BUT, and a Big BUT....

Repeated reports hinting/commenting from the media that RP's Campaign Staff/Organizers are dropping the ball.

The latest comment was to today, 12/10/07 Susan Page, USAToday's, Washington Bureau Chief on C-SPAN.

"The Ron Paul Campaign is not organized or staffed like the Front Runner Candidates."

Peter Slen, from the Washington Journal asked, Is Ron Paul registering IOWA? Does he have an organization out there?

Let's get some Type A personnel on the campaign, hire David Gergen, Pat Buchanan, and some professional PR firms... ASAP! Timing is EVERYTHING... and
we're running out of time and Commercials and YouTube alone, won't win a Presidency!

Not that we don't all appreciate their efforts. But it is time to pull in some people with the experience to help run a smooth campaign. Maybe just some consultants.

what is being done with he money?

It would not have been our business to ask, but the official campaign did come to the grassroots asking for money, so they do need to let us know what's happening!

Ammo without guns is worthless...

Agreed. "Investing" that campaign money in hiring some real talent will pay off big.

It is a major business strategy - the best spent money is in bright personnel.

I mean, just look at what Google has been doing...

I recommend your first hire being a "head-hunter" - someone who is THE best at finding the right people for the job - and let them do the rest of the hiring - and hire hire hire. Translating these millions of dollars into a well oiled campaign machine is going to require lots of brilliant people maximizing your campaign strategy.

You've been given the ammunition. Now go buy the guns.

In my opinion you need to know the process and have tons of political experience in order to run a successful campaign AND WIN. I agree that some money spent on pros is money well spent. What I see is the need to better organize all the far flung volunteer event.s The spontaneity and creativeness and zeal of all the wonderful volunteers is fantastic and has been the backbone of getting us this far. But the game is political and a few pros can be a good investment particularly at this critical juncture.
Either way we can win this but let's spend some of the bomb on a few more pros.

I disagree...partially. Be very careful hiring a traditional strategist because if they try to do things the same old way, it might clash with the grassroots (Hire me). This campaign is like no other in history. You need someone ho is going to see what is going on with the grassroots, and go with that flow, pointing us in right direction when things need to get done (canvassing) but not going against what is going on (Hire me). You clash with the grassroots, you are doomed. Nothing will stop these thousands out there volunteering their time and effert as not feeling appreciated. You need someone who recognizes this, and embraces and enhances the grassroots effort. That will be hard to find in a pro political strategist. (Hire me)
