This notion that the Kassam rockets are harmless because they don't do enough damage in Israel is ridiculous. The main reason they aren't doin gmuch damage is because Israel's anti missile defense system is taking them out before they can. Death counts are also irrevelant. Hamas is firing missiles from schools and hospitals and when Israel tracks them back to the launch site they hit it not knowing who is inside the building. I''ve seen drone rockets Israell fires to warn the inhabitants of the building that, the real rocket is on the way so they have enough time to get out.
The Iron Dome system needs a lot more work. They should also develop laser anti-missile systems. The US should help them develop those countermeasures."Since the beginning of the operation, more than 1,260 rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip towards Israel," the IDF said in a statement released early on 16 July to wrap up the first nine days of the operation. "Approximately 985 rockets hit Israeli territory and 225 rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system with an overall success rate of 86%."So 15% of the missiles were intercepted and then destroyed.

No, they should develop it themselves. We don't even have a treaty with Israel. We owe them nothing.
Really? Well we certainly have "Formal Agreements." One of which is to protect their shipping lanes and supplies.
