Ron Paul on 2012: "Degree of Support Will be a Major Factor in Decision"

Is JBS running CPAC again? That's what we need.

Didn't they sponsor CPAC? There is a big difference between running and sponsoring. Had they run it, they wouldn't call reporters after they left to capture the crowd booing Ron Paul on camera, after he won the Presidential straw poll.

I can't wait for the opportunity to support Ron Paul. I hope he puts more of an emphasis on a third-party/independent coalition like he did at the end of his last bid for the presidency. That is the only political strategy that has the potential to shake the fundamentals of our political system, in my opinion.

Our system is built to withstand rough seas; to co-opt, suppress, slightly appease, or adapt to the angry masses and reform movements. What we need is a tsunami... a hurricane... a fucking shit storm that rejects the basic rules of the game (the most basic being that there are only 2 sides to every debate). We need to rock the fucking elite to their core.

The support is probably 100,000 times what it was the last time he decided to run (literally). Within 1 month of him announcing his presidential bid he will have supporters going door to door and handing out fliers until election day.

Yea, and the official campaign should be staffed and funded to reflect this. They have no excuse this time, and have every reason to be prepared. They need to have the best campaign website ever created and more.

I think the first question we have to ask is, what are some tangible ways we can show Ron Paul himself our support for 2012 before Jan. 2011? It's not enough that we show it to one another.

(Yeah, yeah...that's what she said)

then FAIL again

lol if you only knew how much effort i put into trying to educate my local GOP last time around. I'm not saying I won't try again, but that it has to be the absolute worst part of the political process.

Well, alright. But we should think about this long-term as well.

I notice looking at the recent donors' ticker, it would seem to indicate judging by names that those of many different colors & creeds are donating to Rand. That has to be heartening and hopeful for the Old Man, even though we're short of 500,000$.

Winning votes and changing the hearts and minds of others are not one in the same.

I hope not.

"Isn't that election a year away? Leave me alone."

He could consider saying "If I get 20 Million $ (or however much) from my supporters by November 15 (or whenever), I'll run for President." Or "I'll start running for President when I get $20 million."

I would also need a barf bag to do that where i live. I would rather support him from a coalition of independents voting for Ron Paul if that is possible. I would work with the Gop if i had to, but I would prefer to find another way.
